BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Daniel Craig & Halle Berry To Star In Kings

Mustang director Deniz Gamze Erguven has her next film all set up, with English-langue debut Kings already boasting Halle Berry . Now she has also locked in Daniel Craig to co-star. Kings is set in the tense atmosphere of early 1990s Los Angeles; specifically the powder keg period following the Rodney King trial. Craig will be Ollie, a loner and one of the few white residents of a particular neighborhood in South Central. He meets and falls in love with Berry, whose character looks after a group of kids. Soon after, the riots roar across the city and the two have to work together to track down the kids and get them away from the worst of the violence, which spread across LA across through six days of clashes between residents and police. According to Deadline, this is actually something of a passion project for Erguven – she pitched the idea back in 2011, but Mustang came together first, and earned an Oscar nomination. Now she'll be getting the movie made at last. Berry i

Poster For #Kingsman Sequel The Golden Circle

This month's issue of Empire features some exclusive glimpses at concept art for Kingsman sequel The Golden Circle and a chat with director Matthew Vaughn . He addressed the idea that Colin Firth 's deceased agent and mentor Harry Hart wouldn't return, but the first poster for the film, tweeted by star Taron Egerton , would beg to differ. Or at least tease the idea... Yes, while Vaughn could still all be leading us a merry chase (or should be checking his pant status as "on fire"), it's intriguing to think what this means for the new movie. The new movie will definitely see the return of Egerton's former wide boy Eggsy and stalwart quartermaster Merlin ( Mark Strong) , with the addition of some new international flavour in the shape of American counterparts known as the Statesmen. They'll be represented by swaggering cowboy-style character Jack (yet to be cast) and Halle Berry's Ginger. And they'll all need to work together to battl

Halle Berry In Talks To Join Kingsman: The Secret Service 2

Deadline is reporting Halle Berry is in talks to join Kingsman 2 , the Matthew Vaughn -directed sequel to the 2015 hit that launched Taron Egerton and grossed over $415 million globally for Fox. Berry is in talks to play the head of the CIA, and the discussion is for a two-picture deal, I’m told. This returns Berry to the Fox fold, where she played Storm in four X-Men films. Berry most recently starred in the Luis Prieto-directed thriller Kidnap, which is scheduled for May release by Relativity. Vaughn and Jane Goldman wrote the script for the sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service, and reports have Julianne Moore also in the film. Kingsman 2 is set for release on June 16, 2017. The one item of note is Professor X's instrument panel, which looks more jutted out from the 1970's version. That one also featured a curved analog set up and this one appears with more hard edges. The lineup includes a couple well known shows in Under The Dome and Extant returning for additional seasons after strong showings last year. The ever popular Big Brother will return for a 17th season. Last but not least the press release announced that the Zoo, a new show based on a James Patterson novel, will join the CBS summer lineup. X-Men Apocalypse: Storm, Cyclops, and Jean Grey Cast

Read on to find out who will be playing the iconic characters. Story by David Clark The X-Men movie franchise is back and some fresh faces have been thrown into the mix. Coming up on the 8th major X-Men film release it seems the time is right to make old things new again for an eager audience. There are a few familiar names returning this time. The roles once filled by Patrick Stewart (Xavier) and Ian McKellen (Magneto) are now being played by their younger on screen counterparts James McKavoy and Erik Lensherr. In fact, recent rumors speculate that long standing stalwarts Patrick Stewart and McKellen may not be appearing in the film at all. The trend in the franchise of moving the series to a younger generation of actors continues with the latest casting decisions. First on the list of recent franchise acquisitions is that of the actress to play young Jean Grey. Those who are fans of the series and comics will remember that Jean Grey is the conflicted and volatile

X-Men Viral Websites Are Online Now

With X-Men: Days Of Future Past due on Blu-ray next month and the details for X-Men: Apocalypse beginning to crystallise, what better time for 20th Century Fox to sneak a couple of new viral websites for the mutant franchise online? Take a look at, and prepare to try to unravel the mysteries of, the Tandem Initiative and M-Underground . Tandem is advertising itself as a scientific think tank, which, according to its spiel, was “founded to help explore a new and growing generation: the genetically gifted.” The site offers mutants a chance to submit their stories and win free genotyping analysis, which makes us think they’re almost certainly up to no good. It’s a view shared by M-Underground , whose stated ambitions include “to expose those who wish to create a rift between humans and the genetically gifted. We will not let our world be torn apart with misinformation. The only ‘mutant threat’ is that which threatens mutants.” So… yeah, the two sides in this particular conflict

Channing Tatum Talks Gambit

We’ve known for a while that Channing Tatum has ambitions to play roguishly charming, New Orleans native X-Men mutant Gambit on screen, and that X-producer Laura Shuler Donner would also like it to happen, which means the idea is now in official development. While out stumping for 22 Jump Street , Tatum has shared more of his hopes for the character . “Creatively, we’re starting to chug forward. Obviously there’s nothing official,” Tatum told MTV News about the progress so far. “There are only conversations and dreams right now, really.” Still, he’s happy that it’s even gotten this far. “I’ve been pretty vocal about wanting to be the part of Gambit for a very long time. It’s a weird, pinching-myself moment that we’re even having the conversation.” Though there has been talk of meeting this new Gambit in X-Men: Apocalypse, the follow-up to Days Of Future Past, Tatum believes that they could go another way in re-introducing the character originally embodied by Taylor Kitsch in X-Me

Days of Future Past Review: What X-Men Should Have Been All Along

X-Men: Days of Future Past is a sound superhero flick that dares to admit, "We did it wrong." 20th Century Fox's X-Men franchise is a study in inconsistent frustration. Riddled with canon issues from 2000's X-Men through the highly controversial The Last Stand , comic fans and newbies have come to woefully accept that their vision of the Marvel comic is no longer their own. After a refreshing reboot in First Class , hope was aroused that Fox had finally gotten its act together, and then The Wolverine arrived and that hope seemed dashed once more. But Days of Future Past re-establishes the universe, cleaning up several (but not all) major plot holes while delivering an excellent superhero character study that doesn't need a lot of big effects to sell itself. The future is a dark and dreadful existence, as both humans and mutants suffer under the thumb of The Sentinels - massive robots initially built to target mutants. Unfortunately, their pr

X-Men: Apocalypse To Arrive In 2016

Clearly not intending to let Spider-Man hog all the comic-book news of the day, 20th Century Fox and X-Men: Days Of Future Past director Bryan Singer have announced what is expected to be the next big mutant outing with X-Men: Apocalypse now on the release schedule (across the pond, in any case) for May 27, 2016. As for what that explicitly refers to remains unclear at this point, but Apocalypse in the Marvel canon is an ancient and incredibly powerful mutant who has tangled with the X-Men on more than one occasion and and even turned Wolverine into his destructive associate for a time. Of course, don’t expect to see everything carried across word for word to the cinematic X-plot, since many changes happen between the page and the screen, but evil Wolverine? We'd watch that. Still, this points to the next big outing for Wolverine and the rest, with speculation sure to gear up almost immediately on who might play Apocalypse and how he’ll fit into Singer’s mutant world. The miniseries will tell the story of the greatest generals in antiquity - Hannibal Barca and his archrival Scipio Africanus - who went head-to-head in the Second Punic War. "Hannibal was not only the greatest African general to ever live,” said Halle Berry, “he may have been the greatest general, period. His story is an intricate and captivating ride and I’m thrilled to get this project off the ground wi

Magneto's New Look

20th Century Fox has released a new X-Men: Days Of Future Past pic showing Michael Fassbender's Magneto, circa 1970, in a suit that's evolving as fast as his mean streak. Days Of Future Past finds Professor X ( Patrick Stewart ), Magneto ( Ian McKellen ), Wolverine ( Hugh Jackman ) and the current X-team confronting a dark alternate future where mutants are an endangered species, tracked down, imprisoned or killed thanks to Bolivar Trask ( Peter Dinklage )’s Sentinel program and an overwhelming level of distrust aimed at them from regular humans. Epic Trailer For X-Men: Days Of Future Past & New Images - They boldly plan to send Wolverine’s consciousness back in time to the First Class era (or a few years after we last met those versions of the characters) to convince the younger Professor X (James McAvoy), Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and the rest to work together to stop the threat at its source. Halle Berry Heading To TV

Halle Berry is heading to the small screen. The Oscar winner has been tapped to star in Steven Spielberg's CBS summer drama Extant and signed a two-year first-look production deal with the series' studio, CBS Television Studio. The project found itself at the center of a heated bidding war between broadcast networks and cable networks, with CBS ultimately proving triumphant by committing to a 13-episode straight-to-series order. Extant has been billed as a futuristic thriller about a female astronaut ( Berry ) trying to reconnect with her family when she returns after a year in outer space. The character's experiences lead to events that ultimately change the course of human history. The casting coup of Berry is as much a commentary on the strength of the spec script as it is on the state of the film business, particularly for actresses over 40. "Halle is the type of award-winning actress you dream of collaborating with for an event project such as Extant,&q

New Groovy Image From X-Men: Days Of Future Past

It's a strong sign that Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is cool whatever era he's in that he can pull off the leathers and patterned shirt combo below. Of course, he's helped by Nicholas Hoult's Beast boasting a double-cord get-up and James McAvoy's Professor X letting it all hang low with his new not-all-that-luscious locks, but the fact remains: Logan looks good in a leather jacket. In other words, here's a new X-Men: Days Of Future Past still, and it's super '70s. X-Men: Days Of Future Past finds our heroes struggling to change a dark alternate universe where mutants are captured or killed by Bolivar Trask's ( Peter Dinklage ) giant robot Sentinels. Professor X and Magneto find a way to send Hugh Jackman’s Logan back in time - which explains how Wolvie is with young Hank McCoy and the now wheelchair-bound-but-not-bald Charles Xavier here - where he tracks down and tries to get the younger versions of the X-Men (and the Brotherhood of Mutants) to h

First Image Of Jennifer Lawrence As Mystique In X-Men: Days Of Future

Unofficial on-set X-Men: Days Of Future Past photographer Bryan Singer has struck again. This time, he’s caught First Class veteran Jennifer Lawrence being made up as Mystique in a behind the scenes shot. Singer’s remark about Mystique being vengeful implies that despite the other crises hitting the mutants, she’ll still be carrying an angry torch against our heroes since she decided to join Magneto ( Michael Fassbender )’s side at the end of First Class. And she’s definitely back in figure-hugging body paint and bright orange hair, though of course we know she’ll probably end up impersonating one or two other people along the way. Lawrence is joined by the crammed grab-bag of actors from both First Class and the original X-trilogy including Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Halle Berry, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin plus new arrivals Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy and Fan Bingbing . Days Of Future Past is shooting now Please L

First Look At James McAvoy From X-Men: Days Of Future Past

When he’s not napping in his trailer or, you know, directing the movie, Bryan Singer has been the source of a regular flow of pictures from behind the scenes of X-Men: Days Of Future Past . Today’s brings a retro-tastic look at James McAvoy ’s Charles Xavier. Serpico indeed! From the looks of this, Xavier will be hanging on to his locks for a while yet, and, given that the portion of the film featuring the First Class cast will be set in the 1970s, he’s gone for it, including a mane that would even impress Hugh Jackman ’s Logan. Days Of Future Past finds the X-team in real trouble in a dark alternate future where mutants are hunted down, put in internment camps or killed by the robotic sentinels. To stop this happening will require the efforts not only of the present-day team (including Jackman, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, Halle Berry, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin and Daniel Cudmore ), but also the younger versions of some of them in the '70s (with McAvoy, Mi
