'The Flash' Reveals Reverse-Flash Image

Tom Cavanagh raises the stakes in this promo image. Story by Matt Cummings Although CW's The Flash is on a Spring hiatus, fans have been treated to news aplenty, inclduing a spinoff . But the first-season story of the Scarlet Speedster isn't quite done, as fans await the final episodes, which will most likely deal with Barry Allen’s pursuit of time travel technology. As you know, this is the only way that his mother - who was killed in the opening episode - might be rescued. Standing in the way of that is Flash's nemesis Reverse-Flash, played by Tom Cavanagh , who also plays Barry's mentor Dr. Harrison Wells. This relationship is about to get a severe test, as recent trailers show that Reverse Flash announces his appearance to none other than his own Star Labs staff. How this will affect Allen and TeamFlash is yet to be determined, but today we took one step closer to seeing the epic battle play out. CW has released a nearly full-body image of Revers

Arrow/Flash Spinoff News: Atom & Firestorm to Share a Show

CW's superhero success is springing another baby. Story by Matt Cummings It's safe to say that CW's lineup (albeit small) of superhero television shows has been nothing short of an unqualified success. Arrow continues to deliver week after week, while The Flash has exploded in popularity, with quality bad guys, several as-yet-to-be-resolved story arcs, and excellent casting. Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin (Arrow and Flash, respectively) have even teamed up on each other's shows, which garnered some of CW's biggest ratings to date. Well, the network's number of superhero shows on is about to get bigger. Deadline is reporting that we'll soon see a show featuring casts from both shows in the first stand-alone team-up. The names: ATOM and F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M. In fact, the CW and Arrow/The Flash co-creator Greg Berlanti are describing and it as “superhero team-up show.” The show will feature familiar names: Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/The Atom),

First Look: The A.T.O.M.

Arrow Producers Reveal The Latest Super Hero Costume Story by David Clark Former Superman Returns Brandon Routh is currently playing the role of Ray Palmer/ATOM on the CW show Arrow , a brainy scientist/corporate-type named for his superpower providing suit called an Advanced Technology Operating Mechanism - A.T.O.M. Truth be told, the Atom character has gone through multiple variations in the DC Comics universe. The original Atom was an awkward college student turned physicist with limited superpowers at best. Another version of the Atom appeared in the Suicide Squad comics as a minor character. The CW has selected a version of the character known as the Silver Age Atom. In the original lore, Ray Palmer became Atom when he discovered the fragments of a white dwarf star. He utilized those materials to fashion a technology which allowed the shrinking of his own body down to the subatomic level. Over time the character became less dependent upon technology and

Upfronts 2014: Networks Announce Strange New Pilots

What's replacing all those sacked television shows?  We peel back the onion to find out! Story by: Matt Cummings This last week saw all five television networks announce their cancellations and renewals .  That leaves nearly 100 potential new shows in the oven, each vying for our hearts, space on our DVR's, and ultimately our time.  But first each has to appear before advertisers, whose votes will determine which are picked up and those that get sent back to the baker. As we prepared to post this, it became clear that two new trends had appeared in several new shows: first, the stranger their plot, the more apt to be considered.  And like that smelly stuff which has been thrown against the wall, the networks are hoping these will stick.  Second, many of these are rejects of previous pilots, regurgitated and repainted for your pleasure.  Neither of these sound particularly appealing Rather than share all of them, we've hand-picked a selected lot which sadly

Catherine greets her cousins Roman and Hortencia. That’s all the castle needs, more Medici’s. Catherine’s gr

Malcolm Merlyn From CW's Arrow's Apart Of League Of Shadows?

Though DC won’t let us have a Batman TV show because the property is too important to use on the small screen, The CW has given us a good dose of dark superheroics this fall with Arrow . But, just because The Dark Knight is off limits, it doesn’t mean Arrow won’t be borrowing from its epic mythos. Keen-eyed fans noticed Malcolm Merlyn ( John Barrowman ) mention his travels to Nanda Parbat in a recent episode, where he says he met a man who had a profound impact on his life. The location is a major part of Batman baddie Ra’s al Ghul’s background , and it seems to be implying the elder Merlyn learned his ass-kicking skills from al Ghul himself. Producer Andrew Kreisberg talked to IGN about the reveal, and said it is something they plan to build on in future episodes: “Some of that is going to be based on what we’re allowed to say. But those little Easter Eggs… We think that stuff works best when it flies over the heads of people who don’t know DC Comics and they don’t ca

DC Comics' Deadman Coming To The CW Network

For years it was being developed by Guillermo Del Toro and Don Murphy for the big screen, but now DC Comics' Deadman is heading to TV, with the CW network grooming the supernatural superhero as a potential replacement for the just-ended Smallville. Arnold Drake and Carmine Infanto created the comics series in 1967. It's centred on Boston Brand , a former trapeze artist murdered mid-act who, as a ghost, is given the power to possess people for crime-fighting purposes by a made-up Hindu goddess called Rama Kushna. He's rarely had his own series, but has regularly turned up in various DC comics, including Alan Moore's Swamp Thing and Neil Gaiman's The Books of Magic. The Gaiman connection isn't insignificant: Supernatural showrunner Eric Kripke describes that programme as a cross between Sandman and Gaiman's novel American Gods (itself in development at HBO), and Sandman was the last DC TV project Kripke was attached to. He sadly admitted that plans for

Smallville Episode 1 "Lazarus"Review By: Jason Albrecht

Smallville Episode 1 "Lazarus"Review By: Jason Albrecht Smallville is a comic lover’s embarrassment. I want to like it, and at times I do (very few and very far between). Last season had a few bright points ( Hawkman for one), but the season premiere let down every hope I had from the season finale. I have nothing good to say about it. Nothing. It had moments where it could have stopped being reserved and grabbed the bull by the reigns. Have Chloe become Dr. Fate . How cool would that have been? But it would have been too bold for Smallville. It’s the last season for Clark ’s sake. Give him the suit early and make us love him. Instead they decided that he needs to be taught another lesson, again. At least we saw this season’s villain: Darkseid (the impending darkness hinted at heavy handedly last season and throughout the first episode of this season). But seriously? He formed out of a moving cloud of smoke?? This isn’t Lost and that’s no smoke monster.

Teri Hatcher To Play Lois's Mom On Smallville

Teri Hatcher To Play Lois's Mom On Smallville For the show’s 10th and final season, producers have scored perhaps their biggest (maybe even the biggest possible) casting coup: They’ve snagged erstwhile Lois Lane Teri Hatcher to play mom to Erica Durance ’s Lois Lane! I know what you’re thinking: But Lois’ mom, Ella, is dead! Follow along now… In episode 8, titled “ Abandoned ,” Lois discovers old videotapes of her mother. I think you can figure the rest out for yourself. Am I right? As you know, Hatcher spent four years playing Superman’s soul mate on ABC’s Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman . The fact that the Desperate Housewives star was game to do this speaks volumes about her appreciation for that role (and the role it played in her future career). I’m sure they’re also paying her well, too. More Smallville news Click Here . Please Leave A Comment- Source- EW

The CW’s version picks up three years after Nikita, played by Q, has gone rogue.
