PHOENIX FILM FESTIVAL INTRODUCES THE SUMMER SHOWCASE FROM AUGUST 10th – 13th Phoenix Film Festival is making 2015 a landmark year with the inaugural of the Phoenix Film Festival Summer Showcase taking place from August 10th to the 13th, at the Harkins Scottsdale 101, with each showing starting at 7 pm. The Phoenix Film Festival Summer Showcase will feature screenings of four films before they’re released in theaters. Each night a different film will be screened and following the screenings there will be a hosted discussion about the film. This will give audiences an opportunity to preview some of the best summer studio films. Tom Cruise flies high and delivers one of the best films of the Summer. Review by Matt Cummings Actor Tom Cruise has always maintained a special place in SandwichJohn's heart; thankfully, he asks me to write these reviews. By Brandon Wolfe The customary lag time between Mission: Impossible sequels has averaged roughly five years over the series’ two decades, but it now seems that Ethan Hunt’s missions will start to become far more frequent. Tom Cruise revealed this week on The Daily Show that plans are in place to begin shooting the sixth Mission next summer, presumably for release in 2017. "We're starting to work on [ Mission: Impossible 6 ] now,” Cruise said. “We'll probably start shooting it next summer [in 2016]." No writers nor director are currently attached to the next entry, but given the series’ penchant for constant creative turnover, don’t expect Rogue Nation ’s Christopher McQuarrie back in the saddle.
