In a high-profile deal for Arnold Schwarzenegger and Abigail Breslin 's zombie film Maggie , Lionsgate has scooped up North American rights to the movie on the eve of the Toronto Film Festival, where the film was set to make its world premiere. As a result of the preemptive pact, the apocalyptic thriller will no longer make an appearance at the festival since Lionsgate is planning an early 2015 release for the film, directed by Henry Hobson from a Black List script by John Scott 3. (The Governator, who was looking forward to attending a festival, could still have his chance if Maggie makes a bid for Sundance in January). Maggie follows the story of a Midwestern teenager whose father sticks by her side when she's infected by disease that slowly turns her into a cannibalistic zombie. The question of whether or not Marvel Studios will ever make a Black Widow movie is one that remains on both the lips and minds of many fans — and, it turns out, some filmmakers, as well.
