BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Reality Bites Headed To TV

Reality Bites , the cult 1994 romantic comedy that examined the angst of Generation X college graduates, is heading to primetime. The film’s director Ben Stiller and writer Helen Childress have teamed for a TV series version of the movie that starred Winona Ryder, Stiller and Ethan Hawke . Childress will write the single-camera comedy project, which is set up at NBC. It centers on recent college graduate Lelaina Pierce, the character played in the movie by Ryder, as she struggles to make her way — romantically and professionally — in the recession-plagued, pre-Internet early 1990s. Set in Houston, the show, and Lelaina herself with her video camera, chronicles the lives of her “slacker” friends with whom she shares an apartment. The series is produced by Universal Television, sibling to the film’s producer Universal Pictures. Co-producing with Uni TV are Stiller’s Red Hour Television and Double Feature Films, the company run by Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher, who were producer

Tony Jaa Joins Fast & Furious 7

Jaa , the Thai action star best known for his Ong Bak movies , is joining the heavy-duty cast of Fast and Furious 7 , Universal’s newest installment of the hit franchise series. Fast 7 already has Jason Statham as the villain, one of several new additions to a series that stars Vin Diesel and Paul Walker . Ronda Rousey also is in talks to come in for a cameo. The script is still being being written by longtime franchise player Chris Morgan, so details are sketchy and Jaa’s part in the international action pic remains unknown. Jaa is a stuntman-turned-actor who spent his youth as an elephant herder. He watched martial arts movies and decided to follow in the footsteps of heroes Jackie Chan and Jet Li. He made three Ong Bak films, which were global hits, and is considered a symbol of national pride in his home country. Fast 7 will be his English-language debut as well as his first studio picture. "I have been a big fan of the Fast and Furious franchise," said Jaa vi

Hero Pose From Transformers 4 Set

After teasing us all with a virtual car-nucopia (sorry) of flashy new vehicle images, Michael Bay has put the first official still from the making of Transformers 4 online. And… No, it doesn’t feature any new vehicles, or any of the metallic characters, because they’re still in the early stages of rendering at ILM. Instead, what we get is the super heroic image of Bay atop… something that looks distinctly Cybertronic, with new human stars Mark Wahlberg and Jack Reynor looking on. Wahlberg , according to the IMDB, is playing Flynn Vincent, who, along with daughter Tessa ( Nicola Peltz ) and her racer boyfriend Shane ( Reynor ), get wrapped up in a brand new Transformer problem when the US government decides to try to exploit the robots’ technology some time after the devastating Battle of Chicago. With a new threat emerging, Optimus, Bumblebee and the rest must fly/drive/transform to the rescue as the world is once more put in danger. Also in the cast are Kelsey Grammer, T.J. M

New Thor: The Dark World Images

The new issue of Empire hits newsstands next Thursday, and just to give you a taste of what to expect, here's a new batch of stills from Thor: The Dark World , offering a good look at Christopher Eccleston's Malekith and his armada, as well as the returning Asgardians. Yes, the new issue, along with much other goodness, holds these new stills and lots from the cast and crew of the film. "You know, we are killing Asgardians in this movie," says director Alan Taylor inside. "It turns out immortality isn't all that it was cracked up to be." Explains producer Craig Kyle, "Asgard at the beginning of the first film was at a time of peace. Now our guys have been fighting for over a year, constantly. It's a time of war. "When the Bifrost was broken at the end of the first film, Odin had to conjure a lot of dark energy and go through a lot of personal sacrifice to try and get his son back to Earth. And it was a one-shot deal. If Th
