Universal Pictures has set a release date for Jurassic Park 4 , which will be shot in 3D and come out June 13, 2014. Steven Spielberg is returning to produce the next installment of the franchise, the last of which came out in July 2001. This comes after the studio has made plans to rerelease the original Jurassic Park in a remastered 3D version in April. Spielberg, whose latest film Lincoln was just nominated for 12 Oscars, this week put his sci-fi pic Robopocalypse on hold; he was scheduled to direct that this spring, but had a new take on the project and decided to retool. There had been speculation that Spielberg would tackle the widely rumored Moses epic Gods And Kings, but this project appears to be officially on his front burner. Get ready for another installment of Step Up , the under the radar franchise that continues to do strong business, particularly overseas. Summit Entertainment has just set John Swetnam to write the script for a film that has Scott Speer returning to direct and Offspring partners Jennifer Gibgot and Adam Shankman producing. Step Up 5 will build to a big dance-off and the intention is to get the leads of the previous films to return in cameo roles. There’s no telling whether the biggest star to emerge from the series, Channing Tatum , will be among those. But he must have good memories. The 2006 original film helped launch Tatum’s career, and he married his lead actress and dance partner in the film, Jenna Dewan . Step Up 5 is intended to be a 3D effort. Swetnam wrote the scripts for Evidence and the upcoming Black Sky (previously known as Category 6), and he’s also scripting a hush hush project at New Line. Since they worked together on the original version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo , star Noomi Rapace has seen her career spark in Hollywood, while director Niels Arden Oplev has mostly worked on TV projects and developing other movies. Now they’ve reunited – and pulled in Colin Farrell and Terrence Howard – for revenge thriller  DEAD MAN DOWN , which has just put its first trailer online .
