BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Why Battleship Was A Flop. Director Explains

Though Disney's John Carter took the brunt of the heat for being this year's first flop, another big-budget extravaganza actually did worse: the board-game-inspired alien invasion flick Battleship . To date, Battleship has grossed $59.8 million in North America—nearly $7 million less than John Carter brought in by its fourth week. The film's director, Peter Berg , has finally opened up about the epic flop. He said via The Huffington Post that he hopes to learn from the experience and (hopefully) move on to a more successful project in the future. "I have a movie in theaters right now which has obviously underperformed in many ways. When [a movie] doesn't work, it's an ... interesting opportunity to look at what went wrong and how it went wrong." As for what actually went wrong? According to Berg the concept, and the budget propping it up, were just too "big." "It was a movie that I tried as hard as I could to get inside of. But t

Philip Seymour Hoffman Offered Role In Catching Fire

Philip Seymour Hoffman received an official offer to play Plutarch Heavensbee in Catching Fire , Lionsgate’s sequel to The Hunger Games , The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. Hoffman’s name had circled the role for several weeks, but an offer formally went out Monday, the same day the actor ended his 18-year association with his agency, Paradigm. Heavensbee is the new gamemaker of the life-and-death games, the same position occupied by actor Wes Bentley in the first movie. Lionsgate, which had no comment, is eyeing a September start for the movie, which Francis Lawrence is set to direct after the departure of Hunger Games director Gary Ross. Jennifer Lawrence will reprise her role as Katniss Evergreen. Hunger Games, released in March, grossed nearly $650 million worldwide. Please Leave A Comment-

THE GREY Blu-Ray Review By: Matt C

THE GREY Blu-Ray Review By: Matt C THE GREY is an uncompromising, engrossing film that suffers from a dissapointing Blu-ray release. Warning: plot spoilers ahead. Liam Neeson Interview For THE GREY Part 1- Death is uncompromising and unrelenting. No matter your physique, personality, or social standing, death will find you regardless if you're ready for it or not. This is where  THE GREY  exists, thriving on that moment when the end of life arrives. The Grey is less man-vs-wolf showdown, more about how man deals with imminent danger and even death. Each scene of this film is difficult to watch and that's a good thing, from the hostile environment of the frozen wastes of Alaska to the way each of our characters meets their end. In a world where Hollywood glorifies the hero standing in triumph,  THE GREY  is a winner for its realistic view of the way people face death. Frog And Toad Coming To The Big Screen

The Jim Henson Co. is developing an animated feature film based on the children's books " Frog and Toad " with Craig Bartlett ("Dinosaur Train") penning the screenplay and Cory Edwards attached to direct. Henson Co. made the announcement Friday. The four " Frog and Toad " books, written and illustrated by Arnold Lobel in the 1970s, chronicle the exploits of a frog and his friend, a toad -- named Frog and Toad. "' Frog and Toad ' has tremendous value with parents who read these charming stories when they were children and are now sharing them with their own kids," said Lisa Henson, CEO. "With such high caliber talent on board, the delightful and funny adventures of these two great friends--with a nod to the classic 'buddy movie'--will bring a whole new audience to their big screen debut." Lisa Henson will produce and Adam Lobel and Adrianne Lobel will exec produce. The company has also signed a deal with H

Iron Patriot Not In IRON MAN 3

UPDATE : A week or so ago we brought you the story  , based on some pap shots that seemed to suggest the star-spangled Iron Patriot armour (or possibly Detroit Steel) would be showing up in Iron Man 3 . Not quite the case, according to some more digging by Latino Review : it's apparently a snazzily updated version of Don Cheadle's War Machine armour . This is what happens when the US Government (and Hammer Industries?) gets hold of a Stark suit... If you'd rather avoid knowing any further details, you'd best bail out now. Still here? Right, Mandarin first. Jon Favreau (director of the first two films, and still playing Happy Hogan in the third) said ages ago that the not-so-politicaly-correct evil genius and Ten Rings honcho would be likely to make an appearance in the future. The word on the street here though, is that he's only a secondary villain in this instance, likely providing shadowy back-up for Guy Pearce's Aldrich Killian. With Extremis the premi

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Euro Cup Trailer

We have the newest trailer for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES that was featured during yesterday's England vs. France Euro 2012 game. Thanks to Empire . Then posted to the Dark Knight Rises UK Facebook page , the footage shows Bane being an utter bastard and Batman both in suit and out of it. Nothing remarkably new in comparison to what's been seen over in the US at the MTV Awards and elsewhere of course, but still well worth your time. Choice quotes: Alfred's "Born and raised on hell on earth" and Mr. Wayne's "My wife?" Take a look below to see for yourself... Please Leave A Comment-
