Bryan Singer to Direct, Executive Produce NBC's ' The Munsters ' The former Defenders star has been cast as Herman Munster in Mockingbird Lane, NBC's reboot of 1960s sitcom The Munsters, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. In the reboot, family patriarch Herman -- as in the 1964-66 CBS series -- has a permanent home under Grandpa Munster's thumb. O'Connell joins the previously cast Eddie Izzard , who will play the powerful and quick-witted vampire in a role that was originated by Al Lewis. Mason Cook will play Herman and Lily's werewolf son, Eddie. Bryan Singer will executive produce and direct the pilot. NBC initially eyed the reboot, from Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller, for this development season but pushed the project to summer. X-MEN: FIRST CLASS Sequel will start production early next year and now AICN has heard that there will be a heavy dose of Magneto this time around and that the studio recently registered the title DAYS OF FUTURE PAST with the MPAA Title Registration Bureau. No confirmation yet if that’s going to be the official title of this sequel, but if you’re a die hard X-Men fan, you’d recognize that it’s the title for a two-issue story arc of the X-Men comics published by Marvel in 1981 and the story dealt with alternative timelines.   DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Back Story: Days of Future Past” is a popular storyline in the Marvel Comics comic book The Uncanny X-Men issues #141 and #142, published in 1981. Brad Peyton , director of New Line’s Journey 2: The Mysterious Island , is negotiating to helm the studio’s disaster movie San Andreas 3D . Plot details remain underground, but the project is known to center on a massive earthquake that hits California. Andre Fabrizio and Jeremy Passmore wrote the script, which received a polish by Allan Loeb. The project is intended to have a budget in the $100 million range. Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson are producing. Michael Disco, Sam Brown and Richard Brener are overseeing for New Line. Peyton is a Canadian director who gained Hollywood's attention for his 2002 quirky short Evelyn: The Cutest Little Dead Girl . First there was talk of Natalie Portman considering a role, then word that Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis were in talks. Now, via Tatum himself, comes confirmation that he’s locked in. Talking with MTV, Tatum admitted that he was indeed part of the movie. And he even talked a little bit about what we can expect: "It's going to be a crazy action movie from the directors of The Matrix . Hugo producer Graham King has been pushing a film adaptation of jukebox musical Jersey Boys: The Story Of Frankie Vallie And The Four Seasons for a couple of years now. It would appear that the movie is creeping closer to seeing that green light flash as Jon Favreau has emerged the frontrunner to direct it. If he does take the gig, it would be a definite change of tone for Favreau, who has spent the last few years helping Marvel grow its cinematic universe via two Iron Man films and his executive producing job on other titles such as The Avengers. He also tackled – less successfully – Cowboys & Aliens. Most recently, he’s directed the pilot for Revolution, a new TV series from JJ Abrams and Supernatural creator Eric Kripke. Jersey Boys will follow Vallie and the other Four Seasons in their rise to pop superstardom. The show has toured the world after launching on Broadway in 2005. Back in January, King hired Hugo writer John Logan to write the latest draft of the script.
