BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Channing Tatum Confirms Jupiter Ascending

Though they make a point of trying to keep as much about their films as quiet as humanly possible, news has slowly been leaking out about the Wachowski siblings’ new sci-fi project Jupiter Ascending. First there was talk of Natalie Portman considering a role, then word that Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis were in talks. Now, via Tatum himself, comes confirmation that he’s locked in.

Talking with MTV, Tatum admitted that he was indeed part of the movie. And he even talked a little bit about what we can expect: "It's going to be a crazy action movie from the directors of The Matrix. They're going to reinvent the wheel as far as action goes, all over again."

So what is it really all about? Well, Vulture tapped a source that seemed to offer some details, though naturally all of this is still unconfirmed and if it’s true, could end up being more information than you require, so look away now if you’re trying to stay away from any possible details.

According to the source, Jupiter finds Kunis as a Russian immigrant working a low-paid job scrubbing toilets, who is seemingly unaware that she possesses the same perfect genetic makeup as the Queen of the Universe. Naturally, the Queen isn’t amused by that idea, and dispatches a bounty hunter (Tatum) to kill the young woman. But love blossoms instead.

Hhm… A young, beautiful woman is perceived as a threat by a powerful queen who sends someone to kill her but they end up united? Have we heard that one before? Nope, can’t think of anything.

But the idea that the Wachowskis might be looking to pull another Matrix-level shift of the action movie at least makes us excited. Even if we’re hoping they don’t want to then follow it up with two overstuffed sequels…

The pair’s most recent effort, complex, time / gender / taboo-spanning novel adaptation Cloud Atlas, is set for release later this year.

Movie Review: #Vacation

Vacation makes me want to take a STAY-cation. Review by Matt Cummings It's not too often that a movie makes me wish film never existed, yet her I am ready to give the newest Vacation all the hate it deserves. And hate on it I will. Grown-up Rusty (Ed Helms) is stuck in a dull marriage to Debbie (Christina Applegate), who's been forced year after year to spend vacation with her family at a cabin in Michigan. When the overly optimistic Rusty realizes his family needs a change, he packs them up for a trip to Walley World, the site of his greatest trip as a teen. But soon, his family begins to encounter difficulties and flat-out disasters that could end their road trip and return Rusty's marriage back to square one. It might surprise our readers to know that someone from our team actually considered walking out of Vacation , and we get to see these films for free. That's how bad our experience became as we sat mesmerized by its 99 minutes of ineptit...

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...
