BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

True Blood Season 5. Things You Need To Know

It’s been a long wait, but True Blood finally returns for its fifth season on Sunday. When we last saw the residents of Bon Temps, many of them were suffering from serious threats from supernatural forces.

Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) had just killed off Nan Flanagan (Jessica Tuck), a member of the Vampire Authority.

Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) was in a fight with his best friend Hoyt (Jim Parrack) after he slept with Hoyt’s vampire ex-girlfriend, Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll). Sam (Sam Trammell) had been cornered by a group of angry-looking werewolves (is there any other kind?).

And finally, Terry (Todd Lowe) had a surprise visit from a Marine buddy (Scott Foley) -- and we all know that in Bon Temps, visitors usually mean trouble.

With so many loose ends after season 4, fans are anxiously awaiting the premiere of season 5 on June 10. But why wait that long? The Hollywood Reporter spoke to the stars of the vampire drama at the premiere party and got some juicy clues about what the new season would bring.

Here are 5 things to look forward to in season 5:

1. A Budding Bromance
While Bill and Eric have spent most of the previous four seasons competing against each other for the attention of Sookie, they may have to work together at least a bit this season after killing Nan Flanagan. The Vampire Authority can’t be happy with them, which means they’ll need a plan -- and fast.
“They’ve gotten themselves into a pretty dark situation,” Moyer told THR. “And I think that they decide that instead of fighting as they always do and being at each other’s throats, that they’ll actually get together and put their heads together.”

 2. A Budding Romance
At the end of season 4, Andy (Chris Bauer) was having some flirtatious moments with waitress/witch Holly (Lauren Bowles). It looks like in season 5, that relationship may continue to develop, according to the two stars.

“He’s softening up a little. He is making some connections in the romantic world, and that’s having a big effect on his personality,” Bauer told THR.

Likewise, Bowles told THR that fans would get to see her character “have some lovin’."

"It just might be from a certain sheriff in town,” she added.

3. A Look into Terry’s PTSD

Terry, the cook at Merlotte’s, clearly has PTSD from his time as a Marine, but no one has ever really known why. This season, Lowe promises that the show will get to “the source of Terry’s PTSD.”
“He gets a visit from his former sergeant from the Marine Corp, and he can’t be showing up with good news, not on this show,” Lowe told THR.

4. Tara’s Return
Rutina Wesley walked the red carpet at the season 5 premiere party, which means all hope is not lost for Tara. However, it’s still a mystery how the character, who was clearly shot at the end of season 4, will return.
While Wesley was tight-lipped about how her character returns, she did say say she didn’t know how people would react to the new storyline.

“People know I’m coming back so I think they’re happy,” she told THR. “But I think the surprise in the how is where people are going to be like, ‘Oh my god.’”

5. Russell Edgington’s Return

The baddie Vampire King of Mississippi (Denis O’Hare) returns in season 5. Although he was buried under a bed of cement, that is no way to kill a 3,000 year old vampire. But O’Hare tells THR that Russell may not be the same person he was before the cement burial.

“I think everybody expects Russell to come out of the ground furious and bent on revenge, but he’s a more complicated character than that,” he told THR. “He’s not been mellowed by his experience, but his perspective has changed.”

True Blood’s fifth season premieres on Sunday, June 10, at 9 p.m.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...
