I had the opportunity to attend the WonderCon press junket for Open Road Films upcoming science fiction action film LOCKOUT starring Guy Pearce and Maggie Grace . Unfortunately Guy was unable to join us. But I did get a chance to talk to the beautiful Maggie Grace . We got a chance to ask her how it was working with Luc Besson whom she was worked with on Taken and the upcoming film Taken 2 . She explained to us how it was working with a green screen and what she took away from the action sequences that she did for the film. She gives us insight into the upcoming film also. I was able to sneak in a question about Twilight for all you Twi-hards. Many of those gathered at WonderCon --a smaller-scale Comic-Con held Saturday at the Anaheim Convention Center--arrived eager to see Fox pull back the curtain on Prometheus , director Ridley Scott's return to the sci-fi genre. The project is perhaps the most intriguing movie of the year, since very little is known about it even though it's scheduled to hit theaters on June 8. Many are still wondering if it's a sequel to Scott's sci-fi horror classic Alien, a prequel, or something else entirely. The answers were finally revealed (sort of) when Scott, the film's co-writer Damon Lindelof and co-star Charlize Theron presented an extended trailer Saturday afternoon--which might only have raised more questions. The trailer is a slick piece of work, teasing a mystery (which includes an "invitation" from another civilization), an expedition featuring co-stars Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender, then slowly ratcheting up the tension. The hot movie project Prisoners is finally getting off the ground. Hugh Jackman has signed to star in the gritty thriller being made by Alcon, while Denis Villeneuve, the Canadian helmer behind the Oscar-nominated movie Incendies, is on board to direct. The story centers on a small-town carpenter ( Jackman ) whose young daughter and best friend are kidnapped. After the cops fail to find them, his character takes the law into his own hands, kidnapping the man he suspects is responsible. But as the kidnapping continues, the carpenter begins to have doubts that he has the right man. The script, by Aaron Guzikowski, initially hit Hollywood in early 2009, generating such heat that it attracted actors Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale even before it was picked up by Alcon, which beat out several bidders. Today we got our hands on three new featurettes from the upcoming film SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN . The three videos go into detail about the visuals, the imagery and how epic the film is. Looks like the cast and crew has shown up again at  Montara State Beach on March 12, 2012 for the Hollywood film ' Of Men and Mavericks ' about Mavericks surfer Jay Moriarity .
