Tom Cruise Could Star In We Mortals Are. Based On Japanese Graphic Novel All You Need Is Kill

Tom Cruise is a guy who likes to stay busy. With two films in the can ( Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Rock of Ages ), one filming ( One Shot ) and another ( Horizons ) lined up after that, Cruise is solidifying his interest in starring in the Warner Bros. sci-fi actioner We Mortals Are , with negotiations expected to begin soon. Based on the 2004 Japanese graphic novel All You Need Is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka and Yoshitoshi Abe, the film would have Cruise playing a soldier defending Earth from attacking aliens. Killed in battle, he is then stuck in a time loop that causes him to relive that day over and over while gaining strength and skill each time as he tries to change his fate. Dante Harper and Joby Harold wrote the adapted screenplay. Has Ghost Protocol hitting theaters December 21 and Rock of Ages opening in June. With Paramount's One Shot shooting now for a February 2013 release, and Universal's Horizons lined up to start production in the new year

Olive The Movie- First Feature Film Shot 100% On A Cell Phone

I came across this movie today on the web and not sure if this has ever happened before. Olive is the very first full length feature film shot 100% on a cell phone (Nokia N8 phone). A 35 mm lens adapter was fabricated to fit the smart phone in order to achieve a shallow depth of field. The film simply put is about a little girl that transforms the lives of three people without speaking one word. The movie stars two time Academy Award nominated actress Gena Rowlands (The Notebook, A Woman Under the Influence). The sound design was done by Skywalker Sound. The financing of Olive was done independently of any corporation. The goal now is to be the first film to not only be shot on a cell phone, but to also be the first independently financed feature film on 2,000+ theaters across the United States without the backing of a major studio. Make Sure to LIKE Olive The Movies Facebook page . Make sure to Follow the film on Twitter also. After watch the first 5 minutes can you

Is This The Lizard From The Amazing Spider-Man?

SpiderMedia.ru is reporting that this is the first look at The Lizard from the upcoming movie The Amazing Spider-Man . This isn't what I was expecting and let's see if this is how the final product will look like. Here is some background on The Lizard : Curtis Connors was born in Coral Gables, Florida. He was a gifted surgeon who enlisted in the U.S. Army and was sent off to war. He performed emergency battlefield surgery on wounded GIs, but his right arm was injured in a blast and had to be amputated. After his return to civilian life as a research technologist, Connors became obsessed with uncovering the secrets of reptilian limb regeneration and studied reptilian biology extensively. Working from his home in the Florida Everglades with the help of war buddy Ted Sallis, he finally developed an experimental serum taken from reptilian DNA. He successfully regrew the missing limb of a rabbit and then, despite the warnings of his wife Martha, chose to test it on himself. Co

Harrison Ford Returns To Space In Ender's Game

After nearly three decades, Harrison Ford may finally be returning to where he truly belongs… outer space. Ford became one of the most popular stars in the world thanks to the space opera known as " Star Wars ," but, after completing his tour of duty with the Rebel Alliance in 1983, he hung up Han Solo's pistol belt and hasn't been behind the wheel of a spaceship since. Now Variety has intercepted a transmission that says Ford may be up for the adult lead of Colonel Hyrum Graff opposite a now-confirmed 14-year-old Asa Butterfield ("Hugo") in the hotly anticipated " Ender's Game ." Essentially "Harry Potter" meets "Full Metal Jacket" in space, the "Ender" series of novels by Orson Scott Card follow the pint-sized Napoleon named Ender as he fights his way through other child soldiers in a futuristic Battle School under the tutelage of Graff. Casting Ford as this tenured professor of alien ass kicking would b

Wear Star Wars, Share Star Wars Come And Join Us

You might know Katie….you know, The Star Wars Girl ? Her story went viral about a year ago, and people all over fell in love with the darling little girl with a love of Star Wars. Katie was in first grade and being bullied by her boy classmates for, of all things, having a Star Wars water bottle. She was told girls can’t like Star Wars. She told her mom, through tears, she would just take a pink one instead to avoid being harassed. Her mom told her to follow her heart, and that it was okay to be different. Katie’s mom, Carrie, wrote a blog post about the situation and in days thousands and thousands of comments offering Katie support came pouring in. Join us on December 16, 2011 for Wear Star Wars, Share Star Wars . Last year the Internet held a day of support for a little girl who was brave enough to be different. Pigtail Pals celebrates all girls, and we’d love to have you and your kiddos participate! Celebrate this day of anti-bullying by wearing something Star Wars or science/s

New Poster For John Carter

The title may not be the most obviously sci-fi ever, but we're still pretty excited about John Carter (not yet Of Mars). After all, it's directed by Andrew Stanton of Wall-E and Finding Nemo fame; it's based on a kick-ass series of pulpy adventure novels set on another planet, and the footage we've seen so far looks rather beautiful. Now there's a new poster for the film, which not only echoes the cover and colour of one recent Barsoom compilation but makes it a little clearer what's going on. New Images From Disney's JOHN CARTER- After all, here we see Taylor Kitsch's John Carter in all his nappy-wearing glory, surrounded by the clearly alien shapes of the green Tharks against the background of the Red Planet. If that doesn't get across what's going on, we're not sure what will. The new tagline, too - Lost In Our World, Found In Another - neatly sums up Stanton's approach to the story and Carter himself: a disaffected post-Civil W

Kyle Chandler To Star In Broken City

He was last seen trying to keep his son and the lad’s friends from being menaced by a marauding alien (and the US army) in Super 8 , but for his next trick, Kyle Chandler is going to dabble in politics, joining the cast of Allen Hughes’ thriller Broken City . Mark Wahlberg is starring as a Noo Yoik detective hired by a powerful local mayor ( Russell Crowe ) to find out who has been having it away with his wife ( Catherine Zeta Jones ). But when Wahlberg eventually tracks down the man, the lover suddenly turns up dead and the detective starts to delve into a far darker conspiracy. Barry Pepper is also aboard, playing a mayoral candidate who is challenging Crowe, and Chandler will be one of the main players in his campaign. Griffin Dunne, James Ransone, Jeffrey Wright, Justin Chambers and Alona Tal are all in the cast. Hughes is busy shooting the film right now, which has a US release date set for January 18, 2013. Chandler has been doing rather well for himself since gett

AMERICAN REUNION-Get A Look Behind The Camera

Universal has delivered a featurette, that takes you behind the scenes of the upcoming film AMERICAN REUNION . We get to see the cast interact and get to know each other again. Red Band Trailer For American Reunion- Watch the clip after the Jump... Video: 'American Reunion' Set Visit Actually, there’s not a lot here that’s truly offensive, aside from the concept of Jason Biggs’ Jim still being a chronic masturbator. Despite being seemingly happily married to Michelle (Alyson Hannigan), Jim can’t resist the chance to thrash one out when she’s in the bath, but is caught – in more ways than one – when his son arrives in the room. There’s one more little beat after that, but we won’t spoil it for you. Suffice to say, this is exactly what you’d expect from a new American Pie outing, and while it doesn’t exactly scream fresh and new, it is at least nice to see the old gang reunited, even if they’re not present here. American Pie: Reunion (as it’s apparently called over h
