Lost's Damon Lindelof Getting Paid!

In its latest attempt to hatch a large-scale film that can play to a family audience, Disney has made a seven-figure deal with screenwriter and Lost exec producer Damon Lindelof to write and produce an original large-scale science fiction feature film. Other than the fact that the project has a working title of 1952 , I couldn't pry plot details out of anybody. I'm not sure if the title connotes a period the film is set in, or if it is a Lost reference. I've also heard that this project isn't just being conceived for movies only, but that it has multiple platform aspirations. The project came out of a series of meetings that Lindelof had with Disney's production president Sean Bailey and senior exec Brigham Taylor, and it's the first film that Lindelof is producing from the ground up. Since ending the run of Lost and serving as one of the show's architects all the way through, Lindelof has been on fire as a screenwriter. He teamed with Alex Kurtzman an

X-Men First Class Spoilers & Mistakes From The Film

Gotta start with if you haven't seen the film you might want to come back and read the post after you have seen it. There are major Spoilers in this post. 12 of them to be exact. Another thing is that my 9 year daughter pointed out some of these facts, She's a Nerd like her father. It amazes me that people have this much time on their hands to dissect a film from beginning to end. Every movie is going to have some sort of flaw. You have been Warned. Spoilers! 1. Hank McCoy transforms into his beast form in X-Men First Class . However, in X-Men 2 when Mystique meets the guard in the bar, Hank McCoy , without fur, is speaking on a live talk show on a TV in the background. 2. In this movie, Emma Frost is seen as an adult woman (roughly around the same age as Professor X and Magneto ). But the character is also in X-Men Origins: Wolverine , set years later when Professor X and Magneto are much older, but she is much younger. 3. When Xavier freezes Levene in the

A Texas Ranger, left for dead, is saved by the Comanche Tonto, who gives his new partner the masked identity of Lone Ranger. Justin Haythe, Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio wrote the script and Jerry Bruckheimer is producing. The film begins production later this year. The holiday corridor of 2012 is getting more competitive. Warner Bros recently set a December 14, 2012 release date for the Peter Jackson-directed The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey , and on December 21, the Ang Lee-directed Life of Pi opens against Universal's untitled Judd Apatow film as well as Relativity Media's Hunter-Killer. Wolfman Reboot On The Way. Really Do We Need Another Film?

Moviehole is reporting that Universal were considering doing a sequel to the recent – god awful – ” The Wolfman ”, which featured Benicio del Toro as the sharp-clawed Talbot – that’s no longer the case. Michael Tabb’s script is being rewritten and reworked to be an original film – almost a reboot of the classic Universal monster movie series. If anything, this new film – they’ve yet to decide on a title though I hear “ Werewolf ” is popular -will share a link to the original George Waggner film (from 1941) rather than Joe Johnston’s ill-fated 2009 remake. As I said, the Universal project is currently undergoing a rewrite; it is likely headed before the cameras in the Fall. The studio is said to be talking to prospective directors over the next couple of weeks. Casting will begin shortly thereafter. The original 1941 film, starring Lon Chaney in the title role, told of a a practical man who returns to his homeland, is attacked by a creature of folklore, and infected with a horr

UFC Looking For A New Home In G4 Network

Mixed martial arts producer Ultimate Fighting Championship has held talks to buy a controlling stake in NBCUniversal's G4 cable network, sources confirmed a report by The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday. A source familiar with the situation said UFC has also talked to other networks ahead of the expiration of its current content deal with Viacom's Spike network . UFC also offers regular pay per view events. Talks are at an early stage, the person said. UFC and G4 officials declined comment. A deal for G4, which targets young men, would give UFC its own distribution outlet for its bouts. Comcast took control of NBCUniversal in late January. Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR
