BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Uncut Viral Video From 'Super 8

The secret's almost out. Super 8 will open in theaters everywhere tonight and we'll finally see if it lives up to the hype. But before we can do that, Paramount has released a new viral video that gives us our first look at the supposed "villain" of the story.

To read my review of the film, hop on over HERE save the spoilers for later if you can.

I'm sure you are well aware that Twitter and Paramount teamed up for SUPER 8 sneak previews, as the film is now being released tomorrow,

So if you live in Northern California it will be playing  at the Metreon in San Francisco, and the Century Greenback in Sacramento

The video shows a group of scientists (starting in the late 1950s) who are working on a top-secret military experiment. The footage reveals some info that's relevant to the plot, so if you don't want to be slightly spoiled, this would be the time to turn away.

Spoilers Ahead

Watch the clip after the Jump...

As you might suspect, the government gets their hands on what looks like a spacecraft and they start to conduct experiments on it and the creature inside. They find out that it can meld special cubes that consist of a material they've never seen before.

Here's the biggie. A poor scientist played by veteran actor Glynn Turman goes to feed the alien through the bars of its cage ... and it grabs him! Or eats him! Either way, he looks like a goner. You can see the creature's tentacle-like limbs slip between the bars to go in for the kill.

Unlike Cloverfield, it doesn't seem as if they're trying to keep this alien's physical identity a huge secret. If they were, why in the world would they release this, especially now?

On another note, are we the only ones getting a Lost, Dharma Initiative vibe from this video?

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert?

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert? We're halfway checked out for the holiday weekend, so let's end with bit of comedy. A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack. Estavillo says that the slow pace is "deceitful" because more time = more subscription revenue for Activision. Here's where Winona Ryder comes...

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...
