Real Genius Getting Remade? Why do people in Hollywood think it is a good idea to remake some of the best classic movies I grew up with? Maybe they want to introduce the movies to the younger generation, I can understand that, let them watch the original movie then.  Isn't anything sacred anymore. The original film starred Val Kilmer Chris Knight. Pajiba is reporting that their Hollywood source Imagine Entertainment (yes, that’s Ron Howard and Brian Grazer) have now targeted the movie as a likely candidate. The 1985 original, which despite a low box office result, remains a beloved cult comedy,  starring Val Kilmer and Gabriel Jarret. The film is set on the campus of "Pacific Tech", a fictitious technical university in the US based on Caltech. Chris Knight (Kilmer) is a genius in his senior year working on a chemical laser. Red Sonja Film Rose McGowan Out Megan Fox In? There’s been a lot of intrigue surrounding the Robert Rodriquez-produced remake of Red Sonja, especially after its apparent lead, Rose McGowan, was cast in Conan the Barbarian, making the expected Red Sonja cameo in Conan all but impossible. This, of course, comes on the heels of a huge delay of Red Sonja, for reasons not entirely explained by Robert Rodriguez last month at SXSW. Star Wars TV Comedy Series Not So Far Away If your a fan of Star Wars and enjoyed the Robot Chicken episodes then this is some good news to your ears.  Lucasfilm Animation is developing a new animated "Star Wars" TV comedy series. Among the writers and Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, creators and executive producers of "Robot Chicken," will have "creative involvement. Project marks the second "Star Wars" skein created by Lucasfilm Animation. The first was "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," which premiered in 2008 on the Cartoon Network. Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D Trailer Here is the new trailer for the upcoming film Resident Evil: Afterlife and as you guessed it will be shown in 3D. Resident Evil: Afterlife picks up where the third film left off. Since the events of Resident Evil: Extinction, Alice has been roaming the world searching for any remaining survivors. As she enters the ruined Los Angeles, she stumbles onto a base of Umbrella surrounded by zombies.She then teams up with a group of survivors who had been hiding in Los Angeles since the T-Virus outbreak and helps them break out other survivors held within the jail which include Claire's brother Chris Redfield. Encom Press Conference At Wonder Con This was the event that I went down on Friday to Wonder Con for.  The sole purpose of my trip that day was to experience this event first hand and not have to read about it somewhere else. We all knew that the Newly-minted Executive Consultant Alan Bradley was going to introduce the latest addition to the Encom International product library on April 2 in San Francisco. But before that there was a secret meeting by the group that runs Flynn Lives which I attended.  They explained how they were going to over take the press conference and demanded that Encom re-instate the search for Kevin Flynn. Harold and Kumar Come Together For Another Film Get ready for another film in the Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle franchise. New Line has set a summer date on the third installment of the franchise. New Line has set a summer start date on the third installment of the Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle franchise, with the Warner Bros-based company about to hire a director, and seriously considering doing the film in 3D. The film is Christmas-themed, giving Warner Bros a nice R-rated holiday release for 2011 or 2012. The biggest significance is that the start date signals the return of Kal Penn, who put his career on hold to take the position of associate director of the White House Office Of Public Engagement. Big Daddy Kicks-Ass In This Trailer And Wonder Con Exclusive Man I can not stop watching this trailer, I thought to myself for a minute.  Who in the heck needs Batman when you have Big Daddy. Big Daddy is the center of this clip, showing what a bad ass he is and how he completely destroys the whole warehouse without a blink of an eye. Big Daddy, a former cop who, in his quest to bring down an evil druglord Frank D'Amico played by Mark Strong, has trained his eleven-year-old daughter to be the ruthless vigilante Hit-Girl. New Bad Ass Trailer For A-Team Movie No this is not an April fool's joke.  We have the new trailer for the upcoming A-Team movie and is it ever so Sweet.  If you liked the first trailer then you are in for a surprise this one is even better!  The A-Team is an upcoming feature film based on The A-Team television series, planned for release on June 11, 2010 by 20th Century Fox. It is directed by Joe Carnahan and produced by brothers Ridley and Tony Scott. The plot will involve a shift from Vietnam to the Middle East, and both Jules Daly and series creator Stephen J.
