Who Will Carry the Captain America Shield? Hold the press we all heard that John Krasinski was the leading candidate for getting the lead role in the upcoming Captain America film. But more news is coming out daily. The answer of whom will hold Captain America’s shield and play alter ego Steve Rogers is still in Marvel’s hands, but the list of actors is being whittled down. Wilson Bethel, who starred in HBO’s “Generation Kill” and currently appearing in “The Young and the Restless,” is still in the running as is Mike Vogel, who appeared in “Cloverfield” and CBS’ “Miami Medical.” Meanwhile, Chris Evans, currently shooting "Safety Point" in Texas, has read for the part and has a test offer which may come to fruition next week. Garrett Hedlund has not tested yet though Marvel is very keen on him. The part calls for a nine-picture deal, the second of which would be the “Avengers” movie. Eclipse is the third installment of the Twilight film series, based on Stephenie Meyer's novel of the same name. The film is tentatively scheduled for release on June 30, 2010.It will follow 2008's Twilight and 2009's New Moon. Corey Haim Found Dead The Los Angeles County Coroner's office confirmed the actor died at 2:15 AM on Wednesday at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Burbank, Calif. The Los Angeles Police Department said they received a call from the hospital before 4 AM confirming the actor's death. He was transported from the home he shared with his mother, Judy, in Toluca Hills, Calif. to the hospital. Ed Winter, LA County Coroner's Office Assistant Chief, told reporters that Haim's mother had called paramedics when her son collapsed in the early morning hours. "This morning at about 1:30...Corey Haim's mom found him. He got up out of bed and had been feeling ill for the last couple of days. Stephen Lang To Play Khalar Singh In Upcoming Conan Film Stephen Lang has confirmed he will be playing the villain in the upcoming " Conan " film. He will be playing warlord Khalar Singh in the film. Liev Schreiber Wants To Return For Wolverine 2 At the press conference for the upcoming film "Repo Men" in New York, Liev Schreiber (Sabretooth) talked about the upcoming Wolverine sequel and if Victor would be making a return to my Motherland Japan for the sequel. I just had dinner with [Hugh Jackman] last night and read the first draft of the script and I was really excited about it.
