Robert De Niro To Play Vince Lombardi In Upcoming Biopic

Robert De Niro to play the Iconic role of Vince Lombardi in the biopic being developed by ESPN Films. The film will be titled "Lombardi"

The film will be more about how Lombardi rebuilt the Green Bay Packers into one of the greatest teams ever. The film is schedule to be released during the AFC and NFC conference championship games and the Super Bowl in 2012.

Charles Coplin, the NFL’s vice president programming said:

“There are few actors who could accurately portray the fire, passion and grit of Lombardi, and we’re thrilled to have Robert De Niro on our team,”
