"La Femme Nikita" Ordered By The CW

"La Femme Nikita" Ordered By The CW The CW has picked up the pilot, an update of the 1990s action-thriller "La Femme Nikita." The French film "Nikita," about a young criminal who's trained to be an assassin by a top-secret government organization, was originally made by Luc Besson in 1990, then was remade in 1993 as a U.S. film starring Bridget Fonda called "Point of No Return." The story was then launched as a TV series in 1997 on USA Network. "Nikita" will give The CW its first non-supernatural action-drama. In this version, Nikita goes rogue and a new assassin is trained to replace her. McG ("Terminator: Salvation," "Human Target") will executive produce the "Nikita" remake, along with Peter Johnson and Craig Silverstein (episodes of "Bones," "K-Ville"), who will write and exec produce. The show is from Warner Bros. and Wonderland Prods. Please Leave A Comment- Source-

George Lucas Planning A CGI Film Starring "Fairies"

George Lucas Planning A CGI Film Starring "Fairies" The untitled, top-secret CGI-animated film is in preproduction at Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch in Marin County. The project marks a rare foray outside the “Star Wars” universe for Lucas who, while not directing a movie since “Revenge of the Sith” in 2005, is putting the finishing touches on “Red Tails,” the adventure movie that tells the World War II story of the Tuskegee Airmen, America’s first black pilots. Lucas wrote the screenplay for “Tails” and is exec producing. Read my Exclusive interview with Lucas here . Kevin Munroe is directing the CGI film, which is expected to feature music from a variety of sources. Munroe hails from the animated world and made his directorial debut in 2007 with the fourth Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, “TMNT.” He recently wrapped production on his live-action debut, the adaptation of the “Dead of Night” comic that stars Brandon Routh and Taye Diggs. Smallville: Absolute Justice Trailer

Smallville: Absolute Justice Trailer The two-hour "Absolute Justice" arc seems like it might be the thing that brings me back to "Smallville." This season Clark takes his superhero persona into obsessive territory when he leaves behind those he cares for so that he can focus solely on Jor-El's training. In order to accomplish this, Clark wears a new costume that sports his family crest on the chest. The theme of the season is about Clark finally embracing his alien heritage, while also being his darkest hour thus far. As a result, Clark's relationship with Chloe and Oliver will suffer this season. Season nine will also see the introduction of more DC Comics characters, including multiple episode appearances for the Justice Society of America, villain Metallo, and villainess Agent Amanda Waller. Written by prolific comic creator Geoff Johns, "Absolute Justice" will feature the debut of one of my favorite superhero teams: The Justice Society of Ameri

Kevin Feige Talks Upcoming Marvel Films

Kevin Feige Talks Upcoming Marvel Films Kevin Feige went onto to talk about the upcoming Marvel films and how it will effect The upcoming Avengers movie which is slated for May 4, 2012. Also read the fine detail some interesting news about possible movies that might get made.Or characters that could return. "It's fun now, and we're introducing some new characters in ['Iron Man 2']," he told the magazine. "But it's not about just cramming in lots of new people; that's sort of the cardinal sin of the sequel - adding in too many characters. This is totally Tony Stark's story. And that's gonna weave into Thor's story, and Steve Rogers' story, and it's already ingrained with Nick Fury's story and an organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D." He says that it is important to first focus on each character. "My only concern is that when we launch a franchise--whichever character's franchise that may be--it should stand on it

Green Lantern Concept Art Work For The Film

Green Lantern Concept Art Work For The Film Some concept art form the upcoming Warner Bros. Film Green Lantern has made it's way onto the web. Cosmicbooknews bring us these pictures and apparently the pictures have been verified by a source The pictures can be from the first stage of drawing with some many concept pictures being done daily who knows who is in and out. Director Martin Campbell said this, "Well, Kilowog will be [in it]. Tomar-Re is in it. Sinestro is in it. Abin Sur is in it. All the origin people. Carol [Ferris], of course, who will be played by Blake Lively. All the main characters are there, and it's a complex story. The origin story of Green Lantern is complex, probably one of the most complex, which makes it a challenge to get it right." Now, based on a script we found a couple years back at a comic book message board, Carol Ferris and Sinestro will not be the full fledged villains, but the characters will be set up as the villains for a second

Steve Carell Next Project To Be Directed By Glenn Ficarra and John Requa

Steve Carell Next Project To Be Directed By Glenn Ficarra and John Requa Glenn Ficarra and John Requa are in negotiations to direct Warner Bros.' untitled Steve Carell/Dan Fogelman project. Written as a spec by Fogelman, the comedy with dramatic elements follows a father deals with a marital crisis while managing a relationship with his children. Carell is attached to star and is producing via his Warners-based Carousel Productions. Denise Di Novi is also producing. The boarding of Ficarra and Requa now puts Carell on two tracks at Warners as to what movie he chooses to do during his hiatus this spring. The other project is "Mail-Order Groom," for which Carell may team-up with Tina Fey. Ficarra and Requa just finished a rewrite of the project, which has no director. Both seem to be neck and neck at this stage. Ficarra and Requa, best known for penning "Bad Santa, wrote and directed "I Love You Phillip Morris," which stars Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor and op

"Jersey Shore" Cast Getting Close To Signing

"Jersey Shore" Cast Getting Close To Signing The cast of "Jersey Shore" is currently on track to keep fist-pumping into Season 2. With MTV having stepped up its offer to $10,000 per episode, sources say negotiations have taken "a positive turn," though the deals are still not done. Agreements could be reached by the end of the week for a second round of MTV's breakout hit, whose cast collectively rebelled against the network's ridiculously low salaries for freshman performers (MTV's villainous-sounding "end of day" deadline that was widely reported Monday was supposedly hot air). MTV is eager to get the cast shooting a new season to air in late summer -- July or August. Please Leave A Comment - Source- THR

Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes Sequel In Lobo Out

Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes Sequel In Lobo Out Director Guy Ritchie has set aside the planned "Lobo" film to clear his schedule for a fast-tracked "Holmes" sequel, according to producer Joel Silver. "Holmes" has pulled in $389 million in worldwide box office since its Christmas Day release and looks to add to that with overseas releases still pending in Germany, Japan, France and several other markets. The role of the famed literary detective also just earned Robert Downey Jr. a surprise Golden Globe, suggesting that the actor might still be in play for an Oscar nomination next week. Silver is a producer of "Holmes" as well as "Lobo," which would adapt the ultra-violent antihero from the pages of DC Comics. Ritchie, who burst on the scene with "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" in 1998, has his biggest commercial success with "Holmes," and Warner Bros. wants to parlay that into a franchise as quickly as possible,

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows To Be In 3D

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows To Be In 3D Thanks Avatar, now every movie that comes out will be thinking about being in 3D. Slowly evolving from fad to Standard Blockbuster Procedure (the jury's still out on whether it'll slip back into "just a phase territory, but post-Avatar, that won't be for a while), 3D is going to Hogwarts. Yes, both chunks of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows will be converted to the format. Warners was apparently closed-mouthed when asked to confirm, so until the official announcement this is technically a rumour. But that shoe is expected to drop before the week - and knowing the speed at which these things move in the Internet age, the day - is over. Each film will cost $5 million to convert and the process will also shove the release date of Titans back a week to 2nd April. The Potter pics are still on course for 19th November of this year and 15th July 2011 respectively. Who wants to bet one of the 3D glasses companies will mark
