The show is a breath of fresh air to TV, something original and new. Just as the Jerry Siegel estate has done so with rights to Superman, so Kirby's estate is looking to regain his share of copyright in the characters and their use in comics and other media. the estate is using the same lawyers as the Siegels, Toberoff & Associates, who have been fairly successful in their case against DC/Warner so far. Nicolas Cage says he dropped out of "The Green Hornet" film because of creative differences with star and screenwriter Seth Rogen and director Michel Gondry . Cage discussed his decision while appearing at the Toronto International Film Festival to promote the darkly comic film, " Bad Lieutenant, Port of Call: New Orleans ." He had been in talks to play the lead villain opposite Vancouver's Rogen, who will portray the masked crime fighter.
