New Dark Knight Rises Posters Are Here

Yes, once again it’s the Big Three – Bats, Bane and Catwoman who get the image love in a series that Michael Fish would go mad for (or, since the source is the movie’s French Facebook page , perhaps that should be Michel Poisson?**) Yes, given that Anne Hathaway ’s Selina Kyle predicts in the trailer that a storm is coming, these somehow seem apt, even if we do wonder why they all think they have to be tough and stand out in the mucky weather when there are vehicles nearby. We can even now hear their mothers telling them they’ll catch their death. Well, maybe not Bruce’s… Anyway, they’re stylish and moody, and we'd put them on our wall. And that sound you hear is Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman grumping that they never get their own character shots. Alfred in a hailstorm, anyone? With Bale, Hathaway, Freeman, Caine, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard and Juno Temple among the cast, The Dark Knight Rises will be here on July 20. See all the pos

Little Shop of Horrors Reboot On The Way. Seymour

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is developing with an eye to star in Warner Bros.’ remake of Little Shop of Horrors . Marc Platt, the producer behind Broadway’s Wicked and such films as Wanted and Legally Blonde , is producing the redo, to which Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the playwright behind the Broadway's Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, is coming on board to write the script. There is no director set. Little Shop originally was a quirky 1960 movie from Roger Corman that featured a milquetoast florist who discovers success with a human-eating plant. It was turned into an off-Broadway musical, which led to a second movie in 1986, directed by Frank Oz and starring Rick Moranis and Steve Martin. If the project comes together in an ideal fashion, Gordon-Levitt would play Seymour, the nerdy florist who is forced to feed the beast in order to keep his fame and popularity rising. Gordon-Levitt, who has developed a following at Warners after key turns in Inception and this summer’s The Dark

Christian Bale Will Be In Furnace

Christian Bale is in talks to star in the revenge drama project, which was once known as The Low Dweller and is being directed by Crazy Heart helmer Scott Cooper. Relativity is behind the project. Furnace was a hot spec by Brad Ingelsby when it hit the town in 2008. It centers on a man released after serving four years in prison. His hopes for a peaceful homecoming are thwarted when his younger brother is brutally murdered and he sets out for revenge. The project immediately attracted top directors such as Rupert Sanders and Ridley Scott as well as such actors as Mark Wahlberg . (Scott is now a producer on Furnace, via his banner Scott Free. Appian Way, the company run by Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson Killoran, also is producing. Brooklyn Weaver of Energy Entertainment is exec producing.) The project almost came together with Bale and Sanders last year, but Bale dropped out because of scheduling reasons. The intent is for Robert Duvall , who appeared in Cooper’s

Tom Hardy Talks Al Capone In Cicero

Tom Hardy has spoken to the Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye about his upcoming role as Al Capone in Cicero . Hardy will play the infamous gangster after he has finished shooting Mad Max: FuryRoad . He told Bamigboye: "I’ve been working with Warner Bros, watching their gangster films — the ones with James Cagney, Humphrey Bogart and Edward G. Robinson," naming The Petrified Forest, The Public Enemy and Little Caesar as examples. "It’s interesting to get them, and a bit of Capone, into the bloodstream… The idea isn’t to remake those films but to get a flavour of them as we explore Capone’s career as a racketeer." On the status of the movie (which is set to be directed by Harry Potter's David Yates), Hardy added: "The idea at the moment is of doing a trilogy of films, but nothing is set. Everyone is just talking and exploring." Tom Hardy will next be seen in This Means War, before appearing as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises Please Leave A Co

Bane's Audio Change Isn't Going To Happen

Update: Well, fmug. New York Times writer Dave Itzkoff has tweeted : 'Warner Bros. says " no truth " to reports of new Dark Knight Rises prologue trailers going out with fixed Bane audio." Looks like we'll just have to bring ear trumpets to the film. Thanks to The Playlist for the spot. You’ll recall that back in early December, we reported on the first screening of the Dark Knight Rises prologue currently playing in front of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol on IMAX screens. While the footage scored some glowing reviews (including our own), the first inklings of an issue began to appear, with concerns raised about Bane (Tom Hardy)’s raspy, metallic, and accented dialogue being hard to understand. Chris Nolan has said he won’t overhaul it, but now comes word that he may at least have tinkered with it to help audiences make out the big bad’s breathy pronouncements. We’re taking Collider’s sourced story with a few grains of salt as there’s been no officia

Anne Hathaway Spills The Beans About The Dark Knight

For anyone who's seen the recently released trailer for The Dark Knight Rises , the conclusion to director Christopher Nolan's Batman films, the stakes appear higher than in the franchise's previous efforts. 'Dark Knight Rises' Prologue Screening at 42 IMAX Theaters Before 'Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol' Gotham City dissolves into a near-apocalyptic state, thanks to the work of new villain Bane (Tom Hardy), but what the trailer doesn't show is what role Anne Hathaway 's Catwoman plays in the melee. The Dark Knight Rises Trailer- You Better Run- The Los Angeles Times will run a story in its Jan. 1 issue, including an interview with Hathaway , which details a scene in the film not yet screened for fans. "Gotham City is a war zone," reports the paper. "A ruthless madman named Bane has ripped away any sense of security and the citizens, haggard and clutching suitcases with refugee anxiety, sit behind barbed wire waiting to

Stop Complaining About Bane's Voice In The Trailer

Sources say some at Warner Bros. want Christopher Nolan to change the sound mix in response to complaints that Bane's dialogue is hard to hear. But the filmmaker plans only to alter the sound slightly. Audience interest in next summer’s The Dark Knight Rises is ramping up thanks to Imax screenings of an extended prologue before Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol and the debut online of the film’s trailer Monday. Really people if you had something over your mouth is would be hard to hear, I guess there will always be people complaining. They just can't be happy that we go our first look at Bane in the Trailer. Douche! You be the judge. The Dark Knight Rises Trailer- You Better Run- But despite the warm reception to the footage, Warner Bros. is running into an unexpected problem, one which is causing some handwringing among executives and others who are working on the movie. Some audience members are grumbling that they can’t understand what Bane, the main vil
