BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Christian Bale Will Be In Furnace

Christian Bale is in talks to star in the revenge drama project, which was once known as The Low Dweller and is being directed by Crazy Heart helmer Scott Cooper. Relativity is behind the project.

Furnace was a hot spec by Brad Ingelsby when it hit the town in 2008. It centers on a man released after serving four years in prison. His hopes for a peaceful homecoming are thwarted when his younger brother is brutally murdered and he sets out for revenge.

The project immediately attracted top directors such as Rupert Sanders and Ridley Scott as well as such actors as Mark Wahlberg. (Scott is now a producer on Furnace, via his banner Scott Free. Appian Way, the company run by Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson Killoran, also is producing. Brooklyn Weaver of Energy Entertainment is exec producing.)

The project almost came together with Bale and Sanders last year, but Bale dropped out because of scheduling reasons.

The intent is for Robert Duvall, who appeared in Cooper’s Crazy Heart, to join the Furnace case, though no deals have been made.

The plan now is for Bale, to tackle the movie in the spring before moving on to his media commitments for summer sure-thing blockbuster The Dark Knight Rises and shooting Terrence Malick's drama Knight of Cups.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert?

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert? We're halfway checked out for the holiday weekend, so let's end with bit of comedy. A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack. Estavillo says that the slow pace is "deceitful" because more time = more subscription revenue for Activision. Here's where Winona Ryder comes...
