As filming finally gets properly under way on the sequel, Warner Bros. has announced the full cast for Magic Mike XXL . We’ve already learned about one or two of the new recruits, but Elizabeth Banks , Community’s Donald Glover and American Football player-turned-TV-host Michael Stahan are all aboard. They’re joining Mike veterans Channing Tatum , (who also co-produces again with writer Reid Carolin), Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez and Gabriel Iglesias alongside previously announced new arrivals Amber Heard, Andie MacDowell and Jada Pinkett Smith . Yes, that’s just one of the cinematic alter egos of Steven Soderbergh . He is stepping back to let long time collaborator Gregory Jacobs wield the megaphone for this one, but is staying actively involved through shooting and editing the final product. MAGIC MIKE Review By: MattInRC Is It Only For The Ladies?- For years, ladies have had to endure the exhibition of naked women on the big screen. We have seen them standing around in brothels, as well as crawling half naked and spinning around poles. Finally women have their own steamy movie to ogle over some piping hot buttery popcorn! This is a movie full of glistening muscles, sexy smiles, and naughty dance moves. The eye candy and hypnotic male splendor is exhilarating! Most of the male review shows (stripper dance numbers) are highly engaging in MAGIC MIKE . The shows come across a little bit stiff (due to some silly props) in the beginning then begin to kick into high gear. There are dance acts including fire men (my personal favorite, Joe Manganiello , from True Blood), rappers, snipers, army officers, and construction workers. MAGIC MIKE Takes It All Off In This International Trailer- Director Steven Soderbergh expresses the challenges of contemporary life in a way few do. From Ocean's Eleven to Traffic, it's all about the great price some people pay to get ahead and the lives they ultimately affect.  MAGIC MIKE  tries to make the case that those involved in the 'male review entertainment' field deal with problems of their own making, partially due to the nature of their chosen career (if one could call it that). And while the film is remarkably deep in expressing this lifestyle in funny and unique ways, the film loses steam midway through the third act, becoming a shadow of what it could have been.
