From what I see in the trailer I am alittle confused to what the film will stand for. Zack Snyder To Direct Superman Movie Updated: Zack Snyder just tweeted this on his twitter account. Can u Guess what picture? @ZackSnyder: I finally get to put my 32 cents in... Zack Snyder has been chosen to direct the new Superman movie, which Christopher Nolan is producing for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures. Negotiations began earlier today. Snyder had been on the list of helmers ensconced in meetings with Nolan and Warners execs, who in recent weeks have talked to Darren Aronofsky, Ben Affleck, Matt Reeves and Tony Scott . The job was so coveted that even Robert Zemeckis , retired to the world of performance capture, considered returning to live-action filmmaking in order to nab the gig. "The Town" Movie Review By: Windy City Gal / @rosenfie " The Town ", directed and co-written by Ben Affleck , is a film based on the novel " Prince of Thieves ." Starring Affleck, Jeremey Renner ("The Hurt Locker"), Slaine ("Gone Baby Gone") and Owen Burke as a group of bank robbers, "The Town" takes place in and around Boston, and follows the complications that arise when Affleck's character, Doug MacRay, falls for one of his hostages, Claire ( Rebecca Hall ). Deciding he wants to follow a different path than his life-imprisoned father, MacRay tries to leave his gang of thieves, only to be coerced into one last job, lest his girlfriend/former hostage be harmed. The last job, however, is no standard bank job. The foursome must steal the cash load from Fenway Park after a blockbuster night. What ensues is an all out gun fight between four smart crooks, the entire Boston Police Department and a slew of FBI agents.

Jonathan Liebesman Confirmed For “Clash of the Titans” Sequel Jonathan Liebesman has signed a deal to direct a sequel to “Clash of the Titans” for Warner Bros. and Legendary. Liebesman had been in contention to nab the directing gig since early June, with negotiations stretching through the summer. Money was a factor, as was the hurdle of overcoming the negative perception of this year's initial installment. The movie, a remake of the 1981 original, became a worldwide hit for Warners, grossing more than $491 million, although it garnered many negative reviews. The studio is hoping to right the wrongs, shooting it in 3D (as opposed to have it added during postproduction, as with the first movie) and tapping some of its top scribes to work on it. Greg Berlanti, one of the writers of “Green Lantern,” Dan Mazeau, who worked for Warners on “The Flash” and “Jonny Quest,” and David Leslie Johnson, writer of “Red Riding Hood,” the studio’s horror thriller starring Amanda Seyfried,

Mass Effect Movie In The Works Legendary Pictures has picked up rights to “ Mass Effect ,” the Electronic Arts-BioWare video game. Mark Protosevich, the scribe who wrote “I Am Legend” and worked on “Thor,” is in talks to pen the movie, which will be produced by Avi and Ari Arad as well as Legendary’s Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni. “Mass,” which debuted in 2008, is an epic sci-fi action game set in the year 2183, focusing on a human soldier and his starship, the SSV Normandy. The galaxy-spanning story involves a long-extinct race of aliens, dormant beacons and more alien species than you can shake a lightsaber at. A sequel to the game was released in January. The project is still in the early stages of development, though any game-to-screen undertaking would require a massive commitment. Batman 3 Gets A Release Date I know this is more then two years away, but it is news. Warner Brothers released an official release date for Christopher Nolan's yet untitled Batman 3 film.
