DOFP Sentinel Designed Expalined

Over the last 24 hours, Empire has teamed up with the X-Men to unveil 25 amazing covers to our new March issue to mark the upcoming Days Of Future Past . Now, like Jean Grey sacrificing herself for the team, we come to the end of our journey, and can reveal the final cover - this one showing a future-model Sentinel - and gather together the complete set. The film's cast, along with director Bryan Singer and Marvel godfather Stan Lee , unveiled most of the covers personally, and those of you who have been following the #Empire25 and #XMen hashtags will have seen the whole lot make their debut online. As for the design of this future Sentinel , inside the magazine we have an interview with production designer John Myhre who explains their look. Here's a little of what he had to say. "They're biomechanical weapons. We had to come up with what would be the ultimate version that could actually, in principle, stop the X-Men. We started with this idea that they were alm

First Image Of Quicksilver From X-Men: Days Of Future past

The casts of the original X-Men trilogy and 2011’s X-Men: First Class team up for May’s highly anticipated X-Men: Days of Future Past . “It’s not a reboot because there’s some of the same characters and same actors,” says Bryan Singer, who previously directed the 2000 original and 2003’s X2. “But it’s also not a conventional sequel—I call it an inbetweequel.” Wolverine ( Hugh Jackman ) is sent back to the 1970s by future Professor X ( Patrick Stewart ) and Magneto ( Ian McKellen ) to stop a cataclysmic event. There, he must help young Xavier ( James McAvoy ) reunite with his foster sister, Raven ( Jennifer Lawrence ), and best pal, Erik/Magneto ( Michael Fassbender ). As Singer teases, “These are very big emotional stakes as well as, you know, cool giant robots and superpowers.” Please Leave A Comment- Source- EW

X-Men: Apocalypse To Arrive In 2016

Clearly not intending to let Spider-Man hog all the comic-book news of the day, 20th Century Fox and X-Men: Days Of Future Past director Bryan Singer have announced what is expected to be the next big mutant outing with X-Men: Apocalypse now on the release schedule (across the pond, in any case) for May 27, 2016. As for what that explicitly refers to remains unclear at this point, but Apocalypse in the Marvel canon is an ancient and incredibly powerful mutant who has tangled with the X-Men on more than one occasion and and even turned Wolverine into his destructive associate for a time. Of course, don’t expect to see everything carried across word for word to the cinematic X-plot, since many changes happen between the page and the screen, but evil Wolverine? We'd watch that. Still, this points to the next big outing for Wolverine and the rest, with speculation sure to gear up almost immediately on who might play Apocalypse and how he’ll fit into Singer’s mutant world. Magneto's New Look

20th Century Fox has released a new X-Men: Days Of Future Past pic showing Michael Fassbender's Magneto, circa 1970, in a suit that's evolving as fast as his mean streak. Days Of Future Past finds Professor X ( Patrick Stewart ), Magneto ( Ian McKellen ), Wolverine ( Hugh Jackman ) and the current X-team confronting a dark alternate future where mutants are an endangered species, tracked down, imprisoned or killed thanks to Bolivar Trask ( Peter Dinklage )’s Sentinel program and an overwhelming level of distrust aimed at them from regular humans. Epic Trailer For X-Men: Days Of Future Past & New Images - They boldly plan to send Wolverine’s consciousness back in time to the First Class era (or a few years after we last met those versions of the characters) to convince the younger Professor X (James McAvoy), Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and the rest to work together to stop the threat at its source. New Groovy Image From X-Men: Days Of Future Past

It's a strong sign that Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is cool whatever era he's in that he can pull off the leathers and patterned shirt combo below. Of course, he's helped by Nicholas Hoult's Beast boasting a double-cord get-up and James McAvoy's Professor X letting it all hang low with his new not-all-that-luscious locks, but the fact remains: Logan looks good in a leather jacket. In other words, here's a new X-Men: Days Of Future Past still, and it's super '70s. X-Men: Days Of Future Past finds our heroes struggling to change a dark alternate universe where mutants are captured or killed by Bolivar Trask's ( Peter Dinklage ) giant robot Sentinels. Professor X and Magneto find a way to send Hugh Jackman’s Logan back in time - which explains how Wolvie is with young Hank McCoy and the now wheelchair-bound-but-not-bald Charles Xavier here - where he tracks down and tries to get the younger versions of the X-Men (and the Brotherhood of Mutants) to h

Trask Industries: Your Future. It Has Begun

With the official marketing team now taking over promotion duties from director Bryan Singer’s Twitpicpocalypse on X-Men: Days Of Future Past , we’re seeing the various viral tricks creep on to the ‘net. The first proper inklings came during the San Diego Comic-Con, with glimpses of Bolivar Trask ( Peter Dinklage )’s Sentinel robots. Now the Trask Industries site has exploded with new material on genetic mutations and technology, including a creepy video about the company’s progress through the last 50 years. The site explores the scientist Trask's campaign against mutants, fuelled by his fear that regular humans would become extinct. As the spiel reads, “his early theories were ridiculed by his contemporaries and with no one to fund his research, Trask cared enough about humanity to invest in the founding of Trask Industries in 1967. Since its founding, Trask Industries has been at the forefront of human progress, partnering with domestic and international governments sinc
