While we were originally supposed to get Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War on May 4, the usual week after Britain and some other countries, the studio has now decided to bring the global release forward to 27 April. Staged as a Twitter chat between the company and one of the film's stars ( Robert Downey Jr. ), the exchanged served as confirmation that the film will be on the move. Still, the move makes sense for Marvel and corporate bosses Disney, because it means there is more time for Infinity War to grab audience eyes and ticket sales before another Mouse House division, Lucasfilm, releases Solo: A Star Wars Story , due to arrive on 25 May. Infinity War, of course, finds Thanos ( Josh Brolin ) deciding to finally obtain the Infinity Stones for himself, putting him up against the assembled might of the Avengers, the Guardians Of The Galaxy, the Black Panther and a variety of heroes. THR is reporting F. Gary Gray , who directed last year's ' Fate of the Furious ,' is in negotiations to helm the movie. Chris Hemsworth is in early negotiations to star in Sony’s self-styled spinoff of the sci-fi action-comedy franchise Men in Black . F. Akin to how Jurassic World revived the Jurassic Park film series, Sony’s reboot is to feature new characters rather than Agents K and J, portrayed by Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith , respectively, and build on the contemporary sci-fi world in which they operated. Sources say that the studio is hoping to round out a diverse ensemble cast and may be potentially eyeing the leads to be white male, a female of color and an older man. Comedy 9 To 5 might have been released in 1980, but its story of workplace chauvinism and gender inequality still feels timely. So timely, in fact, that 20th Century Fox wants to make a new version, and is looking recruit original stars Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Dolly Parton to make appearances. Original co-writer and creator Patricia Resnick is ready to return, and according to Deadline, is talking to Rashida Jones about collaborating on an updated screenplay that would see three young women dealing with sexism in the workplace in the era of #MeToo and turning to the original trio with help navigating the choppy workplace waters. The film was a big hit, scoring an Oscar nomination for Parton's eponymous theme song, and became a short-lived (on, Broadway at least, it continues to tour and stage productions here and elsewhere) musical.
