Movie Review: #BattleOfTheSexes

Battle of the Sexes is solid, well-acted, but misses the bigger - and perhaps Oscar-winning - point. Review by Matt Cummings When tennis players Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs took to the floor of the Houston Astrodome in 1973, it did far more than bring home the ratings. The moment apparently electrified the country, spawning deep discussions about women's roles in the household and at the workplace. It lead to an eventual melting of barriers between the sexes in a way that no single event had done before. And while Battle of the Sexes relishes in this moment, it centers too much of its story around the match itself, keeping the better story - that one player struggling with much more than beating the other - on the sidelines. It is the eighth installment in the Saw franchise , picking up over a decade after the death of the eponymous Jigsaw killer during the police investigation of a new succession of murders that fit his modus operandi. Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House is a 2017 American biographical spy thriller film directed and written by Peter Landesman, based on the 2006 autobiography of FBI agent Mark Felt, written with John O'Connor. The film depicts how Felt became an anonymous source (" Deep Throat ") for reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, and helped them in the investigation which led them to the Watergate scandal. The film stars Liam Neeson as Felt, with Diane Lane, Tony Goldwyn and Maika Monroe in supporting roles. Underworld TV Series In The Works

After 14 years of either directing or producing the Underworld movies, you might think Len Wiseman would be ready to move on from the universe where vampires battle werewolves and their own internal struggles. Wrongo! He's planning to bring the idea to the small screen. The movies, of course, saw Kate Beckinsale squeeze into a variety of seemingly uncomfortable rubber suits and run around shooting/fighting like a badass as Selene, a vampire who works as a Death Dealer. She started off by killing the lycans who allegedly slaughtered her family, but things got more complicated when she fell for a man who showed lycan traits. According to Wiseman, the show's tone will be very different – and he's hoping to place it with a premium cable channel stateside or one of the streaming services to allow for the changes. "The series will be a pretty big departure from the films," Wiseman tells Deadline. "I don’t want to say it’s more adult, but it’s definitely less
