BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Jessica Chastain To Star In Seducing Ingrid Bergman

She's currently busy as part of the Cannes Film Festival jury this year, but Jessica Chastain is making future plans to get back in front of movie cameras. She's attached to star in and produce Seducing Ingrid Bergman . Arash Amel, who is also on as a producer, adapted the script from Chris Greenhalgh's 2012 novel. The story will follow the passionate affair between the actress – best known for films such as Casablanca and Gaslight – and war photographer Robert Capa. They struck up a romance in Paris in the aftermath of World War II and brought their connection to Hollywood at a time when the Communism witch hunts were in full swing. "Jessica is no stranger to portraying strong, intelligent women and this role deserves an actress of her immeasurable talent," says YRF Entertainment boss Uday Chopra. "We also feel that she will bring a unique perspective as a producer.” This is a step forward for a film that has been floating in limbo for a while – James

David Ayer's Circling Scarface Remake

Universal has been planning to make a new version of ambitious criminal immigrant story Scarface for a few years, but it has been churning through writers, directors and potential actors without anything sticking. It would appear the producers are ready to go back to someone who at least took a crack at the script in the past, with Suicide Squad's David Ayer now in early talks to direct. Ayer did some work on the screenplay back in 2011, but it has since been through the hands of several people, including Joel and Ethan Coen, who polished a draft by Jonathan Herman. Diego Luna is attached to play the main character, a Mexican chasing the American dream through any means necessary. For a while, Antoine Fuqua was going to make the movie, but scheduling issues led him to drop out in January this year, around the time Luna was linked to the lead. Now Ayer is seriously considering taking a story that has previously been adapted in 1932 and, most famously in 1983. But even he has

Tom Holland To Star As Nathan Drake In Uncharted Film

After spending several years approaching various writers, directors and actors and getting nowhere close to a completed film, Sony has decided to go in another new direction for the adaptation of video game series Uncharted . With Shawn Levy already attached to direct, the studio now has Tom Holland aboard to play a young Nathan Drake. The new idea is to frame the story as a prequel to the games' normal timeline of an older Drake, taking its inspiration from a sequence in the third of Naughty Dog's titles that followed the character as a young thief and his first encounter with professional rogue Sullivan. And following attempts by Joe Carnahan, David Guggenheim, David O. Russell and more to craft something, another writer will be brought in to develop the script afresh with Levy. If the first film ends up made – it feels like it finally could be, but with this hot potato, we're not counting any chickens – the studio is looking to launch a new franchise with Holland
