BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Daddy's Home Sequel On It's Way

The critical reception it got last year might not have predicted a sequel would be possible, but with $240 million in the bank worldwide, looks like we will see a follow-up to the mismatched buddy comedy of Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg in Daddy's Home . A comedy reunion for the Other Guys stars, Daddy's Home saw Ferrell as Brad, a mild-mannered husband to Linda Cardellini 's Sara's and step-dad to her kids. His world is threatened when her freewheeling tough guy ex-husband Dusty (Wahlberg) comes back into the picture. Soon the two men are engaged in a war of skill and manliness to see who can be the better role model for the children and score their love. Suffice to say a lot of pratfalls and madness follows. That first film ended – spoiler alert for those who didn't see it – with Dusty marrying someone new, who just so happens to have her own imposing ex, played by John Cena . So while the new movie's plot has yet to be unveiled, you've got to figu

Soundtrack Review: #Criminal

Criminal - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack sports dark ambience and powerful electronic beats. Review by Matt Cummings Say what you want about the Kevin Costner action/thriller Criminal ( we sure did HERE ), but its excellent score surely wasn't a reason for its disappearance at the box office. Filled with incredible dark electronic beats and beautiful tender moments, Criminal - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack compels us to take in every bit of Composers Brian Tyler and Keith Power's environment. The violent world of spy craft has taken another soldier, this time in murdered CIA operative Bill Pope (Ryan Reynolds). But his sacrifice yields an interesting by-product: he was on his way to pick up the launch codes for the entire American defense network, which was stolen by a shadowy character named The Dutchman (Michael Pitt). The bag's disappearance and location of The Dutchman have also spurred interest by other parties, including the psychotic anarchis

Moview Review: 'The Huntsman: Winter's War'

The Huntsman: Winter's War is passable but entirely forgettable popcorn entertainment. Review by Matt Cummings One of the pleasant surprises of 2012 was Snow White and The Huntsman , a deftly managed fantasy flick with perhaps the most polarizing female in film (Kristen Stewart) alongside a very capable cohort in Chris Hemsworth. It went on to amass over $360m worldwide and made me not want to vomit at seeing Stewart. Fast forward to 2016 and a follow-up is ready for instant franchise establishment. But while The Huntsman: Winter's War is nicely shot, it's only passable popcorn entertainment, entirely forgettable, and even blandly predictable. Long before the adventures of Snow White (Stewart), there was the evil queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) and her tender sister Freya (Emily Blunt), who herself has magic powers that have yet to emerge. But when her child is murdered by her deadbeat father, Freya (and her heart) apparently turn into The Ice Queen. As Ra

Movie Review: #ELVISANDNIXON Hilarious!

RAMA delivers another great review. Hilarious! Who would’ve thought that a movie could be built around one of the most famous photographs ever?! I genuinely love everything about ELVIS & NIXON , not only because I’ve been a longtime fan of Elvis Presley, ever since my Dad introduced me to his music when I was a kid, but also because this is one absolutely hilarious film, the comedy just hits the mark one after the other, it’s laugh out loud funny. ELVIS & NIXON, directed by Liza Johnson, is essentially the story of how the King of Rock n’ Roll literally met the world’s most powerful man, President Nixon at the White House. I know the first thing that comes to your mind when you watch the trailer probably the fact that Michael Shannon doesn’t look like Elvis and Kevin Spacey doesn’t look like Nixon, but what those two great actors did in this film is not impersonation, they managed to capture the essence of the characters as written or created in the script. So this is
