While David Lynch and co-creator Mark Frost have tried to keep details of their Twin Peaks revival more under wraps than the location of the Black Lodge, little snippets of casting info keep leaking. TV Line reports that Peter Sarsgaard has taken a recurring role in the show. Exactly what that shape the new series' ensemble is taking (and how Sarsgaard will fit into it) is still largely a mystery, but we do know that Kyle MacLachlan is confirmed as returning as Agent Dale Cooper, while Ray Wise, Sheryl Lee and Sherilyn Fenn are all apparently returning and Amanda Seyfried, Robert Knepper and Balthazar Getty are among the new additions. Back before the film came out, Paramount and its producing partners were so confident in the new Terminator entry, Genisys , that they announced sequel dates for not one but two films. Then Genisys landed with a wet thud and that idea seemed to collapse like a T-1000 in molten metal. But according to one of the producers via TheWrap , Skydance Pictures’ Dana Goldberg, the whole idea of a continuing franchise has not been scrapped. “I wouldn’t say on hold, so much as re-adjusting,” she said Tuesday at The Wrap’s 6th Annual Media Leadership Conference, addressing the fact that the sequels were just part of the plan, with a TV show also in development. “At Skydance, when we talk movies, we talk universes, even more than franchises. ABC is continuing ties with Marvel , this time for a comedy series. The network has bought a script for a half-hour, single-camera sitcom that follows the overworked, underpaid clean-up crew of the Marvel Universe, Variety has learned. Currently titled “ Damage Control ,” the project landed a put pilot commitment. According to the series description, the Marvel cleaning crew specializes in dealing with the aftermath of the unique fallout from super hero conflicts. They are the ones who are in charge of returning lost ray guns to their rightful owners, help to reschedule a wedding venue after it has been vaporized in a super hero battle or even track down a missing prize African parrot that’s been turned to stone or goo. Sometimes the most important super heroes are the ones behind the scenes — and that’s who “Damage Control” will follow.
