Disney Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter confirmed on Friday what fans have speculated about for the better part of a year: " Toy Story 4 " will revolve around a romance between the blockbuster's main character, a toy cowboy voiced by Tom Hanks, and a nursery rhyme doll. "It's a love story with Woody and—and this is news—Bo Peep," he told CNBC's "Squawk on the Street." Lasseter revealed the plot point last winter but kept the details under wraps. Lasseter rose to prominence in 1995 as director of Pixar's "Toy Story," a movie about toys that come to life and the first feature-length computer-animated film. The groundbreaking picture and its two sequels have earned about $2 billion at the international box office. New film to play around in existing universe. By Brandon Wolfe Last year, it was announced that Iron Man 3 ’s Shane Black was working on a reboot of Predator (a film in which Black had a small acting role) with his old Monster Squad writing partner, Fred Dekker. However, producer John Davis has clarified that the film will actually be an “inventive sequel” that will incorporate the existing series’ lore. "Shane shot a movie and he's doing a pilot now, but I've read a lot of his (Predator) script and I think it's genius. The network is source developing a series based on the Friday the 13th film franchise as a horror/crime thriller. Steve Mitchell and Craig Van Sickle, creators of the NBC series The Pretender , are developing the series, which intends to reimagine slasher Jason Voorhees in a more grounded framework. The story will center on a detective's search for his missing brother, which brings him into contact with a serial killer long thought to be dead, but whose killing spree has resumed.
