Deadline is reporting Bella Thorne and Patrick Schwarzenegger have been cast as the leads of Midnight Sun , a YA love story that will be financed by Boies/Schiller Film Group. Scott Speer (Step Up: Revolution) is set to direct the pic from a script by Eric Kirsten. Based on a 2006 Japanese film, Midnight Sun centers on Katie (Thorne), a 17-year-old sheltered since childhood and confined to her house during the day by a rare disease that makes even the smallest amount of sunlight deadly. Fate intervenes when she meets Charlie ( Schwarzenegger ) and they embark on a summer romance. A September shooting start is planned. John Rickard and Zack Schiller, who are collaborating on the Fletch redo with Jason Sudeikis at Relativity, are producing. The rise of the sports documentary has been undeniable and steady and HBO is about to take it down a half a peg with 7 Days in Hell . Deadline is reporting Arnold Schwarzenegger has found a project to follow Terminator Genisys . He has aligned himself to star in 478, a dark script by Javier Gullon, the Spanish writer best known for the Denis Villenueve-directed Enemy . That was an adaptation of the Jose Saramago classic novel The Double that Jake Gyllenhaal starred in. Darren Aronofsky’s Protozoa is producing and the aim is to shoot in the fall. In 478 , Schwarzenegger plays a man whose wife and child die in a plane crash. The tragedy was caused by an air traffic controller’s screw-up. The air traffic controller is vilified for his mistake and placed into protective custody. Schwarzenegger cannot let it go, and is determined to seek vengeance. Though is sounds like a standard revenge film, I’m told it isn’t.
