Director Bryan Singer broadcasted via Periscope live from the set of X-Men: Apocalypse this morning to share a very special announcement with fans. The X-Men: Days of Future Past Rogue Cut is coming to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD July 14th. Anna Paquin’s iconic character X-Men character, Rogue, actually had scenes in “X-Men: Days Of Future Past”, but it got cut because it just didn’t fit into the big picture that was always meant to focus on Xavier (James McAvoy) Thankfully, 20th Century Fox wants to bring you these deleted scenes in the movie’s own extended version; these scenes will be added back to the film and re-released as the “Rogue Cut” which contains extra footage, not just Rogue scenes, but other sequences involving other characters as well. The Big 5 deciding what they expect us to watch this fall. By Brandon Wolfe Pilot season has commenced as the networks have begun their first round of pickups. NBC has ordered the dramas The Player , Chicago Med , Blindspot and Heartbreaker to series. Also in contention are Warrior , Game of Silence , The Curse of the Fuentes Women and Love Is a Four Letter Word . The network is really pinning its rebirth hopes on drama rather than comedy, the genre upon which it built an empire in the ‘80s and ‘90s. The crop given the go-ahead today will join fellow dramas Shades of Blue , Emerald City and pointless reboot/event series Heroes: Reborn in the fall. On the comedy front, NBC has a number of prospects, including Superstore , Strange Calls , People Are Talking , a pointless small-screen reboot of Problem Child , How We Live and Cuckoo . Already ordered are Telenovela starring Eva Longoria and, yet one more pointless reboot, Coach . Fox will be adding its television adapt

We're The Millers star to do a different kind of clowning around. By Brandon Wolfe The big-screen adaptation of Stephen King’s It has found its Pennywise. The demonic clown will be portrayed by Will Poulter, who is perhaps best known from We’re The Millers . Poulter seems like a strange choice for the role, but a quick glance at his somewhat sinisterly structured face may be the key to understanding the decision. There’s something going on with the eyebrow/forehead region there that’s unsettling. It , which will be directed by True Detective ’s Cary Fukunaga and be split between two films, is the story of a group of children who confront a child-killing entity who often takes the form of a clown, only to have it return to plague them as adults. New Commander in Chief to deliver rousing speeches. By Brandon Wolfe Those of you ID4 fans who were expecting Bill Pullman to have been made President for life had better brace yourselves because there will be a new face in the Oval Office for the sequel. ‘90s relic Sela Ward will play President Lanford in the sequel to ‘90s relic Independence Day . Ward has previously worked with director Roland Emmerich in 2004’s The Day After Tomorrow . Ward will join returning ID4 vets Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman and Vivica A. Fox (but, again, no Will Smith), as well as newcomers Liam Hemsworth and Charlotte Gainsbourg. The film will go into production this month for a slightly-too-early release on June 24, 2016. Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie in all her helmeted glory. You weren’t imagining it; that was the lanky Brienne of Tarth stalking through halls and chasing the Millennium Falcon in the most recent trailer. Though many fans have already nicknamed her “ The Chrometrooper ,” Christie’s character is actually named Captain Phasma and is a member of the First Order —the film’s new version of the evil Empire. But should we really assume that Christie’s Phasma is pure evil? In a franchise where a rakish smuggler can get the princess, a Sith Lord can be redeemed, and a stormtrooper can be a potential hero, anything can happen. Christie, who spends most of her scenes in HBO’s Game of Thrones clad in armor, should be used to wearing a bulky metal suit, but, between you and me, I can’t wait to see her with that helmet off.
