BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Netflix Ratings for Original Series Revealed

One of the great mysteries of modern television is finally solved...sort of. Story by Matt Cummings It's true that Netflix has become not only an important player in the changing viewing habits of Americans but also a household name with incredible financial value. But the streaming company has always been a mystery in regards to the real numbers it draws, especially in the realm of its Original Series releases. To say Netflix has been less than forthright with that data is an understatement, becoming one of the closest-held secrets in modern television. But, a recent survey by San Diego-based Luth Research has shed a least a little light on this, assembling a wide swath of US Netflix subscribers to determine the most popular programs on the service. Luth looked at viewing across a wide variety of devices, but not televisions or gaming consoles. As reported exclusively by Variety, the survey reveals much about what people are watching, as well as who might be cha

May 2015 Movies On Our Radar

A staggering amount of great films arrive in our May Movie Preview. Story by Matt Cummings & Brandon Wolfe May is the month when the box office awakens from its 4-month sleep, rubs its eyes and stretches its wings to give us a taste of the rest of the year. And while the year has given us some terrific surprises ( Kingsman: The Secret Service and Paddington ) and some poignant moments, ( Furious 7 ), 2015 has honestly been a dud, filled with many high-profile duds ( Chappie , Jupiter Ascending , Seventh Son , 50 Shades of Grey ). But now it's onto May and the beginning of the summer season, a time when Hollywood begins to lay down its big cards hoping for long lines and plenty of popcorn sales. In the past three years, we've seen Iron Man 3 , X-Men: Days of Future Past , Godzilla , and a little 2012 film called The Avengers . This year is no different, as May brings us a staggering amount of quality releases that are worth mentioning. Several appeared in our MOST

Here's What Jared Leto's Joker Will Look Like

"Do you want to know how I got these tats?" By Brandon Wolfe In celebration of the character’s 75th anniversary, Suicide Squad director David Ayer has tweeted a photo of the Joker as he will be portrayed by Jared Leto . The photo, presenting a tatted-up version of the Clown Prince of Crime, registers something of a shock, as it indicates an extreme reinterpretation of the iconic character, something DC has seemed bent on doing to many of its iconic characters in its bid to craft a cinematic universe of its own. It’s worth mentioning that when images first popped up online of Heath Ledger’s Joker from The Dark Knight , they too seemed to suggest an initially troubling major overhaul of the character’s appearance, with the long, greasy hair and mutilated smile. But Leto’s Joker, with his Juggalo visage, has especially struck many as a needless, tone-deaf modernization of something that didn’t need to be updated, and yet more evidence that Warner Bros' decision t

First Images From #VictorFrankenstein Starring James McAvoy & Daniel Radcliffe

Victor Frankenstein is back and this time – unlike Mel Brooks' version – it’s not pronounced “Fronkensteen”. James McAvoy is donning the scientist’s garb in the new iteration of Mary Shelley’s Gothic tale and, alongside co-star Daniel Radcliffe ’s Igor, he’s arrived to meet his public in two exclusive shots from the new issue of Empire . See all the images after the Jump... Note the heavyweight leather jerkin and goggles adorning McAvoy’s not-entirely-good doctor. The monster he’s creating – the film’s big reveal – is akin to something terrible birthed from the Industrial Revolution, a steampunk messiah that may just destroy its own creator. Note, too, Radcliffe’s ramrod posture as he remains in character for this between-takes snap. Clearly Dr. Frankenstein’s unique brand of chiropractic is working on his hitherto hunchbacked factotum. “As much as the monster is his creation, Igor is his creation as well,” explained McAvoy on set. “That was quite exciting. It’s
