BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Some Actors Not Appearing in X-Men: Apocalypse?

Learn who said they and another actor might not be appearing. Story by Matt Cummings The return of the X-Men franchise in 2014 was flat-out one of the riskiest projects, but the time-traveling X-Men: Days of Future Past proved it could successfully blend time travel with two universes of actors into a fun and rewarding project. The film also reset certain unpopular storylines from X1-X3 which had alienated fans and put the franchise itself on shaky ground. One of the reasons for the success of DOFP was the return of Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier and Ian McKellen as Magneto. Both of whom were and still are popular in the movie universe, and perhaps Stewart is as best known for his iconic performance as he is for Star Trek: The Next Generation 's Captain Jean-Luc Picard. But while fans could breathe a sigh of relief at Stewart's return, DOFP set up a whole new series of questions about the next film, X-Men: Apocalypse . Aside from the appearance of

Fandango Sets Record For R-Rated Movies

Read on to learn which movie set the new record. Story by David Clark Fandango reported this week that pre-sold passes to Fifty Shades of Grey , which is set to release the day before Valentine’s Day, has set a record for the site. The sites statistics revealed that Fifty Shades of Grey has set records for advanced ticket sales for R-Rated movies and is on pace to set a record for most sales ever. The movie starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan will likely be the next big thing to hit theaters in 2015. As an adaptation from a book series the storyline has already garnered an obsessive fan base. The book trilogy has already sold over 100 million copies worldwide. The series has had record sales in Britain and has also sold over 45 million copies in the United States alone. For something that started as an experimental story inspired by the Twilight series the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, written by E.L. James, has taken on a life of its’ own. The books are d

Fox in Talks to Reboot The X-Files

The Reboot is Out There In what has seemed like an inevitability for some time now, plans have begun at 20th Century Fox to launch a reboot of its iconic ‘90s megahit The X-Files . According to Deadline , Fox TV Group chairman Gary Newman has confirmed that talks have taken place to bring the sci-fi series back to the airwaves, and that he was “hopeful” about the prospect of it happening. Series creator Chris Carter alluded to the possibility of a reboot last summer, though his level of involvement in the new series has yet to be determined. Also unclear is how much of a role, if any, original series stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson might have. One suspects the network will want a new, younger crop of FBI agents investigating phenomena. The X-Files aired on Fox from 1993-2002 and was among the defining television series of the Clinton era, garnering huge ratings and spawning two feature films. The second film, 2008’s I Want To Believe , was a box-office failure and se

The Humbling Review: Meandering, Uneven VOD Release

The Humbling is an uneven, meandering affair that proves VOD is more dumping ground than viable alternative. Review by Matt Cummings In Director Barry Levinson's The Humbling , Al Pacino plays Simon Axler, a once famous stage actor who, after literally falling off stage, seeks to evaluate his life before father time takes it from him. He soon meets the daughter of his closest friend (Great Gerwig), a lesbian who's left a trail of pathetic exes in her wake, and the two strike up a relationship. Unfortunately, Simon isn't prepared for the chaos Pegeen will bring, as his dementia forces him to re-evaluate everything he knows. Based on the Phillip Roth novel, The Humbling can't decide if its a stinging satire or skit comedy. It starts off self-assured with several comedic skits that keep our attention, including Nina Ariana, a fellow nuthouse resident who wants to kill her husband for molesting their daughter. But the tide turns when Gerwig enters the pictu

Zachary Levi has signed on to star in NBC’s Heroes Reborn , EW has confirmed. Added Levi: “One of my first, and fondest, memories of joining the NBC family in 2007 was having the pleasure of getting to know Tim Kring, and the cast of Heroes. With Heroes: Reborn, I’m honored to have the opportunity to bring more of that world to life, and excited to
