Night at the Museum 3 Review: Hilarious Farewell to the Franchise

Night at The Museum: Secret of the Tomb sends off Robin Williams in style. Review by Matt Cummings It's not often that you see a trilogy end as well as it began - especially when the second was so awful - but in the case of Shawn Levy's Night at The Museum: Secret of the Tomb , it's not hard to like much of this mad-cap comedy. Larry (Ben Stiller) has moved up the museum ladder, ready to show off his cast of 'animatronics' to the world. But as we know, these characters are the museum's displays come to life, courtesy of a magical gilded Tablet of Akmenrah, the ancient Egyptian relic responsible for the museum’s transformation. Unfortunately during a fancy gala, the exhibits begin to malfunction, ending the career of Dr. McPhee (Ricky Gervais) and sending Larry to London to seach for a cure to the disintegrating relic. Along the way, he'll run into his British counterpart Tilly (Rebel Wilson), meet an Egyptian Pharaoh (Sir Ben Kingsley), and b

First Image From #TED2

EW scored the first image from TED 2 . All we have heard about the film is it will focus on Ted fighting in court for the right to have a child with his human girlfriend. Morgan Freeman plays a legendary civil rights lawyer who helps him out. Amanda Seyfried co-stars in the movie, and Liam Neeson and John Slattery will have small roles. The movie hits theaters on June 26th, 2015 Everyone's favorite foulmouthed teddy bear is back! Seth MacFarlane won't reveal plot details, but does confirm that we won't see any plush additions to Ted's entourage. ''It's basically the way we treated Stewie in Family Guy,'' the co-writer/director says. ''He's the only one of his kind who can talk.' Please Leave A Comment-

Robert Rodriguez Will Direct Fire And Ice

Sony Pictures has acquired a big package that gives the studio a potential franchise. Robert Rodriguez will direct a live-action version of the 1983 animated film Fire And Ice . The film is Rodriguez’s homage to his friend, the late legendary animator Frank Frazetta, on whose works Frazetta and Ralph Bakshi based that original film. It’s a big buy for Sony Pictures at a rough time for that studio, and a deal that reunites it with Rodriguez; Columbia Pictures acquired the Sundance breakout El Mariachi, Rodriguez’s memorable debut. The intention is for Fire And Ice to be the birth of a fantasy adventure franchise, informed by the dreamlike worlds Frazetta poured into his paintings. Please Leave A Comment- Source- Deadline

#ANNIEMOVIE Review. It’s A Remake Just For A Remake Sake

It’s a remake just for a remake sake. RAMA has delivered another great review. It is possible for a movie musical to show that the actors seem to be having fun on the screen, but unfortunately that fun is not shared by the audiences watching them. ANNIE is one of those movies. It’s a remake just for a remake sake, just so that the studio can have something they can call a new version, with new level of riches, billionaire with a ‘B’, just so that they can have something that simply exists. I don’t know why, maybe it’s the vibe or the hyper energy, but everything about this new ANNIE manages to make musical fans like me hate musicals. It’s a hard knock life indeed for us. There’s nothing wrong with trying to update something using a diverse group of actors, I’m all for that, but if you have a weak script with a runtime that’s unnecessary long, and songs that push you away instead of inviting you in, you’ve got a disaster in your hand. I actually feel sorry for Quvenzhane Wallis

The Imitation Game Review: Cumberbatch Shines in Turing Biopic

The striking The Imitation Game has "Oscar Bait" written all over it. Review by Matt Cummings For those of us who've ever been labeled a 'nerd' or 'geek' when it was unfashionable to be one, the last few years have been particularly fulfilling. No more the objects of ridicule, we're a fixture on television (The Big Bang Theory, Scorpion) and our actions save and remake the world ( Skyfall , The Theory of Everything ). That's a joke obviously, but for Mathematician Alan Turing it couldn't have been more true. Perhaps Geek #1 and a force in the ending of WWII, Turing gets his own biopic in the Oscar-worthy The Imitation Game , a movie that's far more than its title suggests. Turning (Benedict Cumberbatch) is a brilliant mathematician who's watched Britain become engulfed in the madness of WWII with seemingly no way to keep Adolf Hitler's meteoric rise from leading to his country's eventual end. The key to German
