Clearly emboldened by the success of Maleficent and without waiting to see how its latest adaptations of Cinderella or The Jungle Book perform, Disney has been digging through its animated archives again and has come up with Dumbo . Transformers: Age Of Extinction writer Ehren Kruger has been hired to turn the elephant tale into a live action adventure. Presumably, this updated take on the 1941 classic will blend CG with real-world settings to re-tell the tale of the elephant born with comically huge ears. Initially mocked for his giant lobes, Dumbo has the last laugh – and learns some important life lessons to boot – when his best pal, Timothy Q. Mouse, helps him learn how to fly. A24 Films and Kevin Smith have unveiled their poster for TUSK today. According to the filmmaker, the San Diego Comic-Con will serve as the backdrop for the movie’s trailer premiere. Smith dropped both bits of news via his blog this afternoon. The poster takes the minimalistic approach. “Let me tell you a story…” gives it a fairy tale vibe. But I think this film may be far from a fairy tale. In the film, Michael Parks plays a creep who lures Justin Long’s character (a dude who runs a podcast) into his abode and then slowly turns him into a walrus. The " Superman Returns " star joins The CW comic-book drama in a recurring role. Brandon Routh has been cast in the recurring role of Ray Palmer, otherwise known as The Atom , on the third season of The CW comic-book drama, The Hollywood Reporter confirms. Ray Palmer is described as an unrivaled scientist and inventor, who will play an unexpected role in Oliver's and Felicity's lives as the new Queen Consolidated owner and whose intentions with the company's Applied Sciences division are a mystery. In the DC Comics, The Atom can shrink down to a subatomic size. This marks one of the only times the character has appeared in a live-action series, as TVLine first reported.
