An LA Weekly cover story detailing cocaine-dealing allegations and prison time done by financiers Remington Chase and Stepan Martirosyan has Hollywood distancing itself from the pair. In the wake of revelations of a criminal past, film financiers Remington Chase and Stepan Martirosyan have gone from indie darlings to radioactive. The U.S.-born Chase and Armenian Martirosyan, who financed 2013's Denzel Washington - Mark Wahlberg starrer 2 Guns and Wahlberg's Lone Survivor , are scrambling following a Jan. 2 LA Weekly report detailing cocaine trafficking convictions, prison time and stints as federal informants (both have gone by other aliases in the past). The pair have hired high-profile crisis lawyer Howard Weitzman, who is no stranger to controversy with a clientele that includes O.J. Danny Cannon has been tapped to direct and executive produce the pilot for Fox’s high-profile comic book drama Gotham , from Warner Bros. TV and The Mentalist creator Bruno Heller. The project, which landed at Fox in September after a bidding war, mines DC Comics’ popular Batman character universe and explores the origin stories of Commissioner James Gordon and the villains who made Gotham City famous. Walt Disney Studios and Christian Siriano have teamed up to bring to life the newest addition to the world of Tinker Bell and Neverland in “ The Pirate Fairy .” Known for his whimsical and show-stopping designs, Siriano consulted with the filmmakers at Disneytoon Studios on Zarina’s pirate fairy costume. Zarina, voiced by Christina Hendricks ("Mad Men") is a dust-keeper fairy that falls in with a band of pirates, including a cabin boy named James, voiced by Tom Hiddleston ("The Avengers"). “The Pirate Fairy” sets sail on April 1, 2014. I loved the challenge of this project. I haven't designed for an animated character before, and I'm excited to take my skills into Zarina's world. She's a unique and new character and I wanted to help make her memorable and iconic. Another day, another pointer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 , as the drip-drop of posters, clips and information continues. The latest offering comprises three posters that show one of the film's set-pieces. Does anyone else feel like we might just possibly see a major Times Square showdown in this film? Jamie Foxx's Electro is in the same pose in all three pictures here, suggesting that he's been cut-and-pasted for the promotion and we shouldn't draw too much from what we see of him. What's much more exciting is the other grimacing face we see projected on the Square's jumbo screens. That's clearly Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn, but judging by the drawn brows, the toothy snarl and the hint of a collared green costume, it's also the Green Goblin, and a slightly better look than we've previously seen. Over on his website, director Edgar Wright is offering Marvel fans a tease of things to come -- but just how much of a tease is open to question. In a post titled " January 5th 2014 " (but published today, Jan. 6 -- it's okay, Edgar, the new year confuses us all when it comes to dates for a few days afterwards), Wright posted a screen cap from Marvel's Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes animated series featuring hands reaching toward the helmet of Ant-Man, the character at the center of his 2015 Marvel Studios movie, with the caption " Homework ." So far, so straightforward: He's making an Ant-Man movie; he's watching cartoons featuring Ant-Man for research.
