BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Second Trailer For Monuments Men

George Clooney and his Monuments Men have been pushed back, out of the Oscar release date tidepool and into a less awardsy February slot, and the movie's new trailer hints as to the whys and wherefores of that decision. This promo sells it as an unashamed, action-packed wartime caper with lots of Oceansy chemistry from its cast and a serious message worn lightly. Set in World War II, The Monuments Men finds an unlikely squad of recruits culled from museums, galleries and universities for a special mission in liberated Europe. They're tasked with braving the front lines of combat and stopping priceless works of art, architecture and other artefacts from being stolen or destroyed. Not only did they have to go up against the Nazis, but they also had to try to convince the Allied troops not to attack certain buildings: no easy task for a team of volunteers including art historians and curators. The cast includes Matt Damon, Cate Blanchett, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Jean Dujar

Veronica Mars Film To Open March 14, 2014

On March 13, 2013, Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas asked fans of the acclaimed, gone-too-soon teen detective drama starring Kristen Bell to Kickstart a big screen revival. Fitting, then, that Marshmallow Nation will get to see what their $5.7 million paid for on the one year anniversary of the groundbreaking fundraising campaign: In an exclusive interview, Thomas tells EW that Warner Bros. will release the movie — simply titled Veronica Mars — on March 14, 2014. “Warner Bros. had this date circled for quite some time and hoped it would stay open,” Thomas tells EW. “Luckily, no other teen detective movie decided to open in the middle of March.” The original distribution plan called for Veronica Mars to get a limited engagement run in just a few cities before becoming more widely available via video on demand and other digital platforms. But Thomas reports that Warner Bros. will now give the film a wider, nationwide release (number of screens still TBD) and let the marketplace de

New Trailer For 300 "Rise Of An Empire"

Ready to do for sea battles featuring sweaty, oiled-up blokes what Zack Snyder’s film did for land battles featuring… er… sweaty, oiled-up blokes, 300 sequel Rise Of An Empire is here to lay siege to your eyes once again with a fresh trailer. With warrior King Leonidas and his brave soldiers dead, we follow what happens when Themistokles ( Sullivan Stapleton ) swears vengeance in the name of the mourning Queen Gorgo ( Lena Headey , who soon picks up weapons of her own) and takes arms against the invading Persians. There’s also something of an origin story for Persian god-wannabe Xerxes ( Rodrigo Santoro ), who himself deals with the death of his father by falling under the ambitious influence of naval commander Artemisia ( Eva Green ), dabbling in dark powers and becoming the powerful, crazed, gold-coated monster we first met in 300. Naturally, after defeating Leonidas, he’s ready to conquer all of Greece, so Themistokles will have to stop him, and that means fighting on the

Production For Fast & Furious 7 Has Come To Complete Stop

The making of Fast & Furious 7 was happening on an accelerated pace to meet next summer’s July 11 release date, but now the movie has come to a complete stop. The unexpected and tragic car-crash death of Paul Walker has led Universal Pictures to put a hold on the movie in mid-production. Donna Langley, chairman of universal Pictures, told EW this week, “We have half a movie shot and we are working through it.” The studio has now decided to call a halt. “Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul’s immediate family and our extended Fast & Furious family of cast, crew and filmmakers,” a studio rep announced today in a statement. “At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise.” Of course, nothing matters as much as the loss of life from Saturday’s accident, which killed not only Walker but his fri

Ben Affleck Teases Superman / Batman Film

He may not be ready to spill all of Superman / Batman’s secrets just yet, but Ben Affleck , the man who inspired such online vitriol for daring to think he could embody The Dark Knight has at least tried on the Bat suit. And, whilst talking to Entertainment Weekly about the release of Argo on Blu-ray, he did drop a few hints about having seen Zach Snyder’s preparations for shooting the superhero mash-up. Clearly, Snyder’s build up to production has impressed Affleck. “What I’ll say is that I really like Zack. From what I’ve seen of what’s Zack is doing, it’s made me very excited. One of the nice things about being an actor in that movie is they show you all the stuff before anyone else gets to see it. So all the sort of world-creation, and the take on the character and the other characters is really exciting. And at the end of the day, the truth is it’s really directors that make movies work or not – especially these kinds of movies, where it’s about the whole world, and a rising t
