This Is The End Review. Sinfully Hilarious

This Is The End Review By: MattInRC The raunch-fest  This Is The End  is fiercely unapologetic and sinfully hilarious to watch. We here at SJF are privy to so many comedy screenings every year, and we are grateful for it. Unfortunately, 2013 has given us more than our fair share of duds, making me wonder if good comedy is still out there. Luckily,  This Is The End  renews my faith, even if I can't recommend that everyone see it. Shot mostly in the home of James Franco (Pineapple Express), the film features a who's-who of modern comedic actors, including Seth Rogan (Knocked Up), Jonah Hill (Superbad), and fellow Express dudes Jay Baruchel and Danny McBride . Each plays some sort of weird version of themselves as they react to the Apocalypse which is about to end of the world. The troupe drink, smoke, and bitch their way through some of the funniest scenes of the year, including Baruchel walking in on the coked-up Michael Cera (Superbad) as he's being

The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug Trailer & New Images

Today is the day and now is the time. The trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug is here. Following on from where we left Bilbo ( Martin Freeman ), the dwarves and Ian McKellen’s Gandalf continue their journey to the Lonely Mountain, where Thorin ( Richard Armitage ) and the rest seek to reclaim their homeland from a troublesome squatting occupant: Smaug the dragon. The focus here is more on the new faces we can expect in the second film, including Lee Pace’s Elvenking Thranduil, Evangeline Lily as elf warrior Tauriel, Mikael Persbrandt as shape-changer Beorn, Luke Evans as Bard the Bowman and, just because he can do it without needing big makeup changes, Orlando Bloom’s athletic Legolas. With plenty of action on show, some nice looks at the new folk and a solid, dramatic reveal (well, after the glimpses in the first film) of Smaug’s reptilian mug (no Cumberchat- yet), this definitely has us ready to see more. Man Of Steel Review. Brings Superman IntoTthe 21st Century

Man Of Steel Review By: MattInRC The epic and beautiful Man of Steel returns Superman to the big screen and settles a long-standing debate. If you've a fan of the online series Honest Trailers , you know their finest effort ( The Avengers ) laughingly tells audiences that as a result of Marvel's command of the box office, competitor DC has been placed on ' suicide watch .' Who could blame them: after a commercially successful but disappointing Dark Knight Rises and still stinging from the awful Green Lantern , the studio that first brought comic book heroes into the modern era seemed adrift and down for the count. Luckily the release of Man of Steel proves DC still has some fight in them, producing a beautifully-shot and thoroughly-enjoyable effort, even if some character development is lacking. The story of Kal-El/Superman begins on the distant planet of Krypton, which is embroiled in a civil war between the established leadership and the war hero
