IRON MAN 3 Review. It's More Than Its Previews

IRON MAN 3 Review By: MattInRC Summer 2013 kicks off with the excellent IRON MAN 3 , a film that proves it's more than its previews. Marvel Studios has been on a dominating roll of late. After 2012's amazing The Avengers , the studio known for Thor, Captain America, The Incredible Hulk could have rested on their laurels, content to churn out successful but empty follow-ups (George Lucas, are you listening???). Not Marvel: it's changed the way we watch movies, now and forever. No one waited around until after the credits pre-2008 when Iron Man first debuted; now, we hope other franchises get the hint. Marvel has defined the connected universe, making each of their releases almost like essential rights of passage. Even 2010's rushed Iron Man 2 couldn't lessen demand for a super-hero mashup that put DC on suicide watch. As IRON MAN 3 soars into theaters this week, we're reminded once again of why we love this franchise and the studio who continues t

Daniel Radcliffe Is Set For Tokyo Vice

New MAN OF STEEL Poster

Oi, Kal-El! Clark Kent! Superbloke! Whatever your name is… A word in your Kryptonian shell-like if we might: flying at incredible speeds with your mouth slightly open is a recipe for disaster. Actually, it’s a recipe for bugs and possibly seagulls getting sucked into your gob, and no one wants their superhero to be coughing as they land to stop evildoers. Just trying to be helpful as your new poster arrives, okay? But yes, slightly cracked mush (he probably has some super-powered force thing going on to avoid bug splatter) aside, Henry Cavill is looking every inch the hero in the new one-sheet for Man Of Steel. As we draw ever nearer to the release for Zack Snyder’s take on the world’s most iconic comic book character, the promotion has still been fairly reserved (compared to, say, the barrage of promotion for other blockbusters). The story remains mostly the same (albeit tweaked by Christopher Nolan and David Goyer): Kal-El is sent to Earth and adopted by wholesome, humane farm

The book follows the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th century England who are faced with a new challenge — an army of undead zombies. Collins would play the Elizabeth Bennet character. Darko Entertainment and Panorama Media are producing with Panorama funding. Natalie Portman and Annette Savitch of Handsomecharlie films, Sean McKittrick of Darko Entertainment and Allison Shearmur of Allison Shearmur Productions are producing. The project has been in development for some time, with David O. Russell eyed to direct, Portman starring and Lionsgate distributing. But the script took too long to develop the proper tone, leading to Russell and P

Win Tickets To An Advance Screening For THE ICEMAN In San Francisco

Win your tickets to see an advance screening for THE ICEMAN ! The screening is on May 13th @ 7 PM San Francisco. In case you haven’t been following the film’s slow-cooked development, no, THE ICEMAN is not the continuing adventures of Val Kilmer’s narky pilot from Top Gun. It is, in fact, the strange-but-true story of mob assassin Richard Kuklinski . Shannon plays Kuklinski, a man who led a strictly separate double life. To his wife Deborah ( Winona Ryder ), he was a loving, attentive family man and business type who was gainfully employed. But his other existence was something quite different: he specialised in untraceable killings and got his nickname thanks to his habit of freezing his victims post mortem to keep them from the prying detection of the police and forensics investigators. Chris Evans is co-starring as Robert Pronge, who helped teach Kuklinski the ways of the assassin, with Ray Liotta as a mob boss. Ariel Vroman is the director and co-writer who drag
