While a poor start in Hollywood is always something that can be turned around, things aren't looking so pretty for a successful 2013. Continuing the trend we first discussed in January, box office numbers for February and a poor opening March weekend continue to display an ongoing problem for the industry: how to bring in the big crowds. According to our friends at BoxOfficeMojo , February 2013's theater receipts came in at around $617 million, as compared to 2012's record $818 million. That's a change of 24% from last year and over 10% from 2008-2010. Our own calculations verify the malaise that's held down Hollywood since the new year chimed in. Relativity Media Has Acquired Rights to Silver or Lead , Based on the Notorious Outlaw Pablo Escobar . Enrique Urbizu to direct the epic story from a screenplay by Piers Ashworth. Relativity Media announced today that it has acquired rights to the script Silver or Lead , the epic story behind the manhunt for cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar , one of the world's greatest outlaws. Relativity will produce the film with Atmosphere Entertainment MM. Enrique Urbizu , whose gritty crime thriller No Rest for the Wicked swept the Spanish Goya's last year with a record 14 wins, will direct from a screenplay by British writer Piers Ashworth (Nostradamus, St. Trinian’s), which he developed from an original draft by Michael Kane. The film focuses on the personal war between Escobar and General Hugo Martinez, whose life rights were also acquired by Relativity. The actor, who is expected to reprise his role as Han Solo in the "Star Wars" sequel, first will play a legendary newscaster in the Will Ferrell starrer. Before dusting off the Millennium Falcon for a Star Wars sequel, Harrison Ford will sharpen his comedic chops for a role in Paramount's Anchorman 2 . Ford will play a legendary newscaster a la Tom Brokaw in the Adam McKay-helmed comedy, which begins shooting this month in Atlanta. He previously played an anchorman in the film Morning Glory, the 2010 comedy produced by J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk.
