Forget War Machine , this is Iron Patriot . Both are played by / operated by / essentially are Don Cheadle's character, James Rupert "Rhodey" Rhodes, but in Iron Man 3 his armour's been given both an upgrade and a flash new stars and stripes paint job. Where the sparks are from is a mystery, what weapon that is on his back unclear - something machine gun-like is a safe bet - but it's good to see that the former War Machine is going to get in on the action in Shane Black's upcoming comic-book threequel. The movie, of course, finds Robert Downey Jr’s billionaire playboy philanthropist up to his metallic neck in trouble as he’s targeted by the Mandarin ( Ben Kingsley ) and other nasty types intent on taking him down a peg or 15. Warner Bros has picked up the rights to an episode of Channel 4's Black Mirror to translate into a sci-fi thriller that will be produced Robert Downey Jr . and his Team Downey banner. The studio has acquired the rights to the episode The Entire History of You and will use the original episode's technology as a jumping off point for a feature adaptation. The episode of the British anthology show centers on a man with an implant that allows him to record and re-watch all of his life experiences. He begins to suspect his wife is having an affair and obsessively tries to find evidence until the relationship falls apart. For the film version, the story will be set in a near future where technology that allows users to re-experience past events, and follow a man who reconstructs his relationship to his dead wife - from her point of-view - and unknowingly uncovers a vast conspiracy. Amanda Seyfried is in negotiations to join the cast of Seth MacFarlane’s A Million Ways to Die in the West, the filmmaker's follow-up feature to his hit Ted . If a deal is made, Seyfried will join Charlize Theron and MacFarlane , who is starring in, directing and co-writing the Western comedy with modern sensibilities.
