BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

G4 Channel To Be Rebrand As The Esquire Channel

The move, which will look to court metrosexual viewers that History and Spike ignore, will include programming focused on gaming and lifestyle. In its bid for the largely untapped metrosexual viewership, NBCUniversal is set to rebrand G4 channel as the Esquire channel . Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the NBCUniversal-owned cable network has closed a deal with Esquire parent Hearst Corporation to shift the former gaming network to a destination more in line with the modern male. The effort is designed to capture a growing, upscale demographic that isn't being reached through other male networks, including adrenaline-heavy Spike and History. Some of the new programming -- which will focus on such genres as cooking, travel and fashion -- already is in production as the rebrand is expected to take place during the first half of 2013, according to sources. True to the decade-old network's heritage, there will be gaming fare as well. 11 An NBCU spokesperson decline

Samuel L. Jackson Wants To Return To Star Wars Franchise

Ewan McGregor isn't the only star who would jump at the chance to reprise his role in Star Wars 7. Samuel L. Jackson is game to return to the flick as Mace Windu as well.  In spite of his busy schedule (he already has three films in production), the Avengers actor told us he was "excited" that more Star Wars films were on the way and would love to be a part of them. "I'm not surprised but totally geeked by the idea of there being more Star Wars," Jackson told E! News at the Spike TV Video Game Awards Friday. "It's like, okay, Obi-Wan was dead when episode four started, so maybe everyone thinks I'm dead and we'll find out what happened to Mace Windu. I can come back as one-armed or a one-handed Jedi that's still around that didn't actually die." Sounds interesting, right? When asked if he would definitely come back for the film, Jackson said, " Hell yeah !"  "I could do that or be a ghost hologram

KILLING THEM SOFTLY Review. Great Gangster/Crime Comedy

KILLING THEM SOFTLY Review By: RAMA So what did RAMA  think of KILLING THEM SOFTLY? Make way for writer/director Andrew Dominik because he’s crafted my favorite gangster film this year. KILLING THEM SOFTLY entertains us softly and surely. It speaks to us fans of Tarantino and Guy Ritchie’s crime comedies. Brad Pitt is perfect as hitman Jackie Cogan who doesn’t understand how some people do things, who doesn’t understand why his hitman friend becomes unreliable, but Cogan gets the job done… Based on George V. Higgin’s novel, KILLING THEM SOFTLY stars Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini , Sam Rockwell, Richard Jenkins, Bella Heathcote, Vincent Curatola, Ray Liotta, Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn and Linara Washington , it’s about a professional enforcer, Jackie Cogan (Pitt), who investigates a heist that occurs during a high stakes, mob-protected, poker game. I spoke with director Andrew Dominik and it’s clear from this film that what he aimed to make is not a crime comedy th

THE COLLECTION Review. One Helluva Bloody Good Time

THE COLLECTION Review By: RAMA Let's see if RAMA thought this film held up to the first film. I was a huge fan of the first film, The Collector , and this sequel doesn’t disappoint at all. Sure it’s a torture porn franchise, from the guys who directed many of those SAW movies, even the editor of THE COLLECTION directed SAW VI, but THE COLLECTION is just gory fun, it’s unflinchingly brutal and plain gnarly. Filmmking team Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton must really love booby traps that aim to kill because this time around, they’ve come up with a few creatively staged traps that will make you wonder what kind of demented degenerate would come up with such film.. When Elena’s ( Emma Fitzpatrick ) friends take her to a secret party at an undisclosed location, she never imagined she would become the latest victim of The Collector, a psychopathic killer. The Collector kidnaps and transports her to an abandoned hotel he’s transformed into his own private maze of tor

Nicolas Winding Refn To Direct The Equalizer

The " Drive " helmer beats out a number of contenders for the Sony thriller based on the 1980s TV series. Nicolas Winding Refn is in early talks to helm Sony's big-screen remake of 1980s TV series The Equalizer . The project, scheduled to go into production in late spring, will star Denzel Washington as Robert McCall, a veteran covert operative who, seeking redemption for his dark deeds, quits a CIA-like agency and puts a classified advertisement in the paper that reads simply: "Got a problem? Odds against you? Call the Equalizer." Richard Wenk (The Expendables 2) penned the screenplay. Refn became a hot commodity following his breakout Drive , for which he won top directing honors at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. For the Equalizer gig, the New York-born Denmark-reared helmer beat out a number of contenders. Sony began meeting with directors back in August but took its time before making an offer to Refn. Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Ti

First Poster For Oblivion Starring Tom Cruise

Here is the first poster for Oblivion . Oblivion , directed by Tron Legacy’s Joseph Kosinski , takes place in a world where Earth has been badly damaged by decades of war with an alien race known as the Scavs. Most of the population lives above the planet, but Cruise’s Jack Harper is a drone repairman, stationed on the Earth to keep the robo-guardians of the place active against enemy incursion. But his mission is interrupted when he rescues a beautiful stranger ( Andrea Riseborough ) from a downed spacecraft. Her arrival triggers a chain of events that makes him question everything he knows… (Cue dramatic musical string, which we’d guess might be an Inception-style parp of horns). With Melissa Leo, Olga Kurylenko and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau also in the cast, Oblivion is set to hit theaters in April 2013. Please Leave A Comment-  Source- Empire via IGN

Image From The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug

A third EW -sourced Hobbit snap has been revealed online – following on from the Legolas There And Back Again number, as well as a new look at Barry Humphries' Goblin King – and it's all kinds of shiny. Oh, and it's from the second of the three Hobbit films, The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug . Featuring Bilbo the "burglar" on all fours by Smaug's immense pile of gold, it's a great bit of teasing from team Jackson. Is it looking at Smaug at this point? What does Smaug look like? Why is Bilbo wearing that natty blue top? Have they reused any footage from The Goonies to fill out Smaug The Golden's magnificent haul?  Only the cast, crew and Peter Jackson's iPad have the answers. Oh, and people who've seen The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, who will have already seen a couple of snippets of Benedict Cumberbatch's wyrm, the lucky swine. Please Leave A Comment- Source- Empire

Hitchcock Review. Doesn't Get Much Beyond The Superficial

Hitchcock Review By: MattInRC The biopic Hitchcock doesn't get much beyond the superficial; but you'll enjoy the creepy comedic experience anyways. The films of director Alfred Hitchcock represent some of the greatest of 20th Century cinema: Psycho, North By Northwest, Vertigo, and my favorite Notorious could appear anywhere on a videophile's top 50. There was a grace to Hitch's films, achieving more than merely matching beautiful blondes to good looking men, but wrapping them in terrific stories that grayed everyone's motives before hitting us with suprising and sometimes frightening endings. And while his inventive camera work took us on a visual lecture of Direction 101, it was the man behind some of the most compelling movies in history that have raised the biggest questions. Hitchcock doesn't try to answer too many of those, settling instead on a dramedy that's thin on accuracy but fat with a deep and talented cast. Unfortunately, it&#
