Anna Kendrick is planning to put them to the test again for a new music-based romantic comedy drama. She’s locked in the lead of The Last Five Years . Richard LaGravenese, who is putting the finishing touches on Beautiful Creatures, is on board to adapt and direct the film based on Jason Robert Brown’s acclaimed stage version. But instead of being a simple relationship story, it has a little fun with the idea, showing aspiring actress Cathy (Kendrick)’s story in reverse chronological order at the end of a marriage and her husband’s running forwards from shortly after they meet. The two timelines don’t interact directly – on stage at least – except for a marriage song in the middle. Crooked Arrows DVD review By: MattInRC While watching the feel-good Crooked Arrows , one can't help but ask: Can someone get former Superman Brandon Routh a Justice League...please?11 There was a time when Brandon Routh's star seemed as high as Superman could fly; but after one of the most disappointing films of 2006 tanked in front of critics and at the box office (more bad script than Routh's spot-on portrayal), Superman Returns signaled a slow descent for Routh that's been painful to watch. Saddled with projects that were truly beneath him, the former Man of Steel seems like a man out of place, as if the blame for Superman Returns was his alone to bear. Crooked Arrows is just another sad example of how far Routh has fallen, with a story that can't decide what it is. Apparently, the world of high school lacrosse is a high-stakes affair. Paranormal Activity 4 is neither inventive nor appealing, and certainly not worth your time. If you've witnessed this series before, you will no doubt remember its structure, presenting the audience with camcorder-style shots and time markers in the corner. Of course it's all meant to lend a sense of terror for what's about to come; but in the case of Paranormal, we feel like time is there only to remind us of how much the film is sucking our will to live. Never existing beyond a low pulse, its plot about a family being terrorized by a demon who seems to vaguely want something simply becomes boring after 35 minutes of nothing happening. Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton are attached to star in And So It Goes…, a comedy scripted by As Good As It Gets writer Mark Andrus and directed by PJ Hogan. Production is slated for spring, and Foresight Unlimited is financing and producing.  Alan Greisman, Rob Reiner, and Mark Damon are the producers. Douglas plays a self-absorbed and eccentric realtor whose life is turned upside down when his estranged son abruptly drops off a granddaughter the realtor never knew. With the help of his determined and loveable neighbor ( Keaton ), the realtor is pulled out of his selfish life and into a new one. “There’s a large demographic and need for these kind of films as evidenced by box office successes such as The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, It’s Complicated and Bucket List,” Greisman said.
