BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Toy Story Of Terror Coming In 2013

Though Pixar said an effective (and heartstring-tugging) farewell to the Toy Story characters in the third film, the company hasn’t quite been able to let go. Fortunately, the return trips to the well with the Toy Story ‘toons have been successful so far. Now the Emeryville gang is taking a leaf out of DreamWorks and studio overlord Disney’s books and putting together a TV special for Halloween 2013. So are you ready for Toy Story Of Terror ? The plot finds Buzz, Woody and co on a fun road trip. But when they detour to a roadside motel, things take a turn for the scary. One of the toys goes missing, and the others must work out what’s really going on before they all suffer the same fate… While DreamWorks has capitalised on the scary short form with Shrek and the Monsters Vs Aliens characters, this will be the first time the Toy Story heroes are back outside of the ‘toons and other shorts. Horror – albeit filtered through the TS team – sounds like an odd genre for them, but the

Taken 2 Review. How Bad Was It Really?

Taken 2 Review  By: MattInRCIs  Taken 2 just another sequel? Will Bryan find and kill me for suggesting such? Check out my review to learn more.11 When one considers the predicament of a sequel, there can be no doubt that a sometimes unfair spotlight is cast upon them - unrealistic fan expectations, coupled with those of the studio, usually produce mixed results. However, those sequels which hold their own, sometimes outdoing their brethren, do so for sound reasons: an improvement in the story, deeper character interactions, and a general feel that the stakes have been raised. Think about what works in The Empire Strikes Back, The Bourne Supremacy, Star Trek II, or The Two Towers and one can easily identify these and other commonalities. Apparently, the creative team behind Taken 2 didn't get that memo, choosing instead a route that plays things too safe while producing diminishing returns along the way.  Former CIA agent Bryan Mills ( Liam Neeson , Batman Beg

Skyfall Clip. How Cool Is Bond?

James Bond : Secret agent, ladies' man, construction worker. Wait, a blue-collar turn for the black tie 007? Not exactly, but he does prove that he can operate a crane to devastating impact in this first clip from the upcoming 23rd Bond film, Skyfall . We've seen plenty of action on forward-chugging trains before (it's pretty much where film got its start), but rare is it that a guy busts open the back of one with a massive construction vehicle. And looks so darn cool and collected while doing so. But that's Bond: a special character, who on Friday celebrates his 50th anniversary of being on screen. Watch the clip after the Jump... While Daniel Craig stars in this Bond film -- his third -- it all started with Sean Connery in Dr. No, one of a flurry of 007 flicks to come out in the early '60s. The franchise has been counting down to this special occassion all summer and fall, and to honor the birth of the world's most cunning (and shape-shiftin

Frankenweenie Review By: MattInRC

Frankenweenie Review  By: MattInRC   Does the Tim Burton directed Frankenweenie provide a memorable experience about a boy and his dog? Read on to find out. Tim Burton's Frankenweenie poses an interesting question: what would you do to save your pet? The answer might surprise, but it definitely entertains. Victor Frankenstein (voiced by Charlie Tahan ) is a quiet, shy 10 year-old boy living the perfect kid life: his scientific mind affords him great intelligence, but it's his love of Sparky the dog and his parents' gift of an upstairs loft that allows Victor to create a world filled with homemade 3D movies about alien invasions and experiments involving the use of his mother's kitchen utensils, all supervised by the lovable but somewhat uncontrollable Sparky. Both mom (voiced by Catherine O'Hara ) and dad (voiced by Martin Short ) are pleasant loving parents but don't necessarily understand their son's behavior. Convinced that the boy must
