BALLSY Review For The Expendables 2

The Expendables 2 Review By: RAMA So did RAMA think this movie was BALLSY Enough? Track ‘em, find ‘em, kill ‘em! Shoot somethin’! THE EXPENDABLES is insanely awesome! Nothing like an old skool action and this is one of the best sequels for us old skool action fans everywhere. At times, it’s a hot mess but one that I wouldn’t mind watching again and again, because this is definitely NOT for those who complain that it’s just impossible that the good guys barely make it without a single scratch. This is NOT for those who complain how one man can beat an army, this is NOT for those who complain that the plot is too thin or the characters are predictable or the dialogue is cheesy. THE EXPENDABLES 2 is for those of us who want to see some R-rated badassery, that’s exactly what the film offers and that’s exactly what you’ll get. Arnold, Bruce, Van Damme, Norris, and Sly: 5 of the most iconic action stars of all time, battling it out, can’t get any better than that. Rock ‘em sock ‘em

The Expendables 2 Hollywood Premiere Images

Here are some images from the Hollywood premiere of The Expendables 2 from last night. Barney Ross ( Sylvester Stallone ), Lee Christmas ( Jason Statham ), Yin Yang ( Jet Li ), Gunnar Jensen ( Dolph Lundgren ), Toll Road ( Randy Couture ) and Hale Caesar ( Terry Crews ) -- with newest members Billy the Kid ( Liam Hemsworth ) and Maggie ( Yu Nan ) aboard -- are reunited when Mr. Church ( Bruce Willis ) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that's not

He's Back. The Trailer For The Last Stand

He's back in a starring role for his first film since he went into office. The Last Stand finds Arnie as former LAPD narcotics officer Ray Owens, who left his old life under a cloud of remorse and regret after a bungled operation resulted in several dead cops. He’s since settled into a relatively quiet life as the sheriff of sleepy border town Summerton Junction. But then his peace and tranquillity is shattered when notorious drug kingpin Gabriel Cortez (Eduardo Noriega) breaks free from an FBI prisoner transport and heads for the Mexican border at top speed. He’s got a heavily armed bunch of mercenaries, a specially-outfitted Corvette and a hostage. So the scene is set for a stand-off in Summerton between Cortez and the massed US law enforcement team, led by Forest Whitaker's Agent John Bannister, is waiting. Owens is at first counted out because of his background and his seemingly low-rent team (including Luis Guzman and Johnny Knoxville), but soon rallies his troo

Tom Hardy Is On The Long Red Road

He can currently be found on screen threatening Gotham City as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises , but Tom Hardy will be indulging in a different kind of theatricality for a future role. Hardy is set to co-star with Michael Shannon in The Long Red Road . So how does the theatre come into it? The movie will adapt Brett C Leonard’s play, originally staged at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, which saw Hardy playing Sam, an alcoholic try to drink his demons away on a Native American reservation in South Dakota. But when his young daughter arrives for a visit in a desperate attempt to reconnect with him, Sam must take a tough look at what he’s become and decide what to do with his life. Shannon , who wasn’t part of the original production’s cast, will play Sam’s older brother. Leonard is planning to write the film version himself and there’s no official word yet on a director. That said, Philip Seymour Hoffman filled that job for the play and already has one film, Jack Goes Boating, on

Joe Carnahan’s Sizzle Reel Pitch For Daredevil Film That Will Never Be

Well, the studio tried, but its heart just didn’t seem in it. On the heels David Slade dropping outof  dropping out of the character reboot and Joe Carnahan’s pitching to take over, 20th Century Fox has apparently decided to let the rights to Daredevil lapse back to Marvel Studios. Regular version- Watch the NC-17 rated version- after the Jump... Variety reports that the clock is ticking down and that, while Fox was enthused by Carnahan’s pitch, there was just wasn’t the time to develop it properly and get the movie into production before the October deadline. This means that the Marvel team led by Kevin Feige will likely be back in control of Matt Murdock, Kingpin, Bullseye and the rest later this year. Despite Carnahan embracing the chance to make a grittier take on the blind lawyer-turned-superhero, he tweeted yesterday that it was looking increasingly unlikely. "Think my idea for a certain retro, red-suited, Serpico-styled superhero went up in smoke today kid
