The Amazing Spider-Man Review

The Amazing Spider-Man Review By: MattInRC Does The Amazing Spider-Man usher in an exciting new chapter in the franchise or signal yet another reboot?  Warning: major plot spoilers ahead. I have joined millions of moviegoers in condemning the horrid Spider-Man 3 , a film that put the once-proud franchise into a coma with a single dance scene. But there were more issues to that film than just the sidestepping: the product felt tired and bereft of imagination, as if our hero needed a partner or a major shakeup. Throwing too many substandard enemies at one hero never solved anything, but that's exactly what we got. Something needed to change, but was a reboot really necessary? That was Sony's call; and so five years after Tobey Maguire and company were shown the door, the lights dim for The Amazing Spider-Man. Does Sony make it up to fans with a new high-flying adventure, or should we expect yet another reboot in about five years? Sadly, The Amazing Spider-Man is

The Hobbit Exclusive Photo

Peter Jackson's The Hobbit gets a public unveiling at Comic-Con this month. Ahead of the shindig, EW has revealed new shots of Gandalf ( Ian McKellen ), Bilbo ( Martin Freeman ) and dwarves Fili, Kili, Dori and Nori, among others, embarking on their epic quest across Middle-earth. Troll readers be warned. The Hobbit is also an origin story for Glamdring, Foe-hammer, Gandalf's two-handed sword. Here it is in all its troll, orc and goblin smiting glory. Interestingly, there's also glimpses of Galadriel amongst EW's pictures. She has been recruited from the pages of Lord Of The Rings and encorporated into The Hobbit's storyline. Any excuse to watch Cate Blanchett and Hugo Weaving as Elrond is alright by us, so Jackson's promise that "it will all make sense" should keep purists at bay. Please Leave A Comment- Source- Empire

Kenny Powers Will Return. Eastbound & Down Season 4 On The Way

America, are you ready for more Kenny Powers ? HBO has ordered eight more episodes of the cult fave Eastbound & Down that stars Danny McBride , EW has confirmed. That’s an abrupt about-face from what the actor and his producing partners — Jody Hill, Will Ferrell, Chris Henchy and Adam McKay — were saying earlier this year, when the show finished its spring run. “HBO definitely wants us, and [co-creator] Jody Hill and I love writing for the show,” McBride told EW earlier this year. “But there is other stuff we’d like to do. Both of us are ready to make jokes concerning people who don’t have strange haircuts.” Obviously, HBO managed to persuade the boys that Powers needs to stage a comeback. The third season wrapped with the Major League pitcher appearing to be dead — until he showed up at the doorstep of April Buchanon, played by Katy Mixon. Needless to say, he’ll have some ‘splaining to do when the show returns for its fourth year. Please Leave A Comment- Source- EW

Iron Man 3 Concept Art Comic-Con Exclusive

After being told by Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige that Tony Stark would be be "cut off from the world and need to focus on his intellects to get himself out of his situation", it was a wonder just how Iron Man 3 writer/director Shane Black would go about it - but now this concept art offers some tantalising clues. Dubbed ' Caged ' by the artist, Ryan Meinerding, the piece shows Mr. Stark in a rather awkward situation: somehow he's ended up with only part of his suit on when he's surrounded by armed assailants. Has his suit been removed (in part) by others? Is this a new suit entirely, with the unusual alternate finger-colouring and all? Is this, in fact, the Extremis armour? Those who've read the Extremis arc of the comic books will be able to draw their own techno-organic and nanobot-based conclusions, but all in all, it's another intriguing glimpse into this new, somehow Avengers-less world of Mr. Stark.
