BRAVE Review By: MattINRC BRAVE is a visual delight that misses at too many key points and doesn't take enough chances. If there's one studio that's absolutely dominated in the past 15 years, it's Pixar. From their 1995 classic Toy Story to the equally heart-warming Up, the company has taken animation to new levels, pulling gems and instant classics with amazing consistency. While animation is their acumen, their key has always been in strong storytelling: who would have thought that toys, cars, rats, fish, and monsters would have such wide-ranging appeal. It's Pixar singular ability to breathe real emotions into their animated characters that makes everything they touch turn to box office cash. While Universal Pictures has been trying all summer to generate new franchises, the studio is getting moving with the fourth installment of its biggest one, Jurassic Park . Universal is setting Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver ( Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes ) to write the script for the fourth film, which will be produced by Steven Spielberg and Kennedy/Marshall’s Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall. Spielberg won’t direct this one. The first three films, which started with the Spielberg-directed 1993 blockbuster Jurassic Park based on the bestselling novel by Michael Crichton, have grossed over $1.9 billion worldwide collectively. Empire got their hands on this exclusive trailer for Salute . A documentary about events at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, The story, as you may have gathered, concerns what happened on the podium following the 200m race that year. The Gold and Bronze medalists, Tommie Smith and John Carlos respectively, raised their arms in a salute similar to the Black Power salute (they describe it as a human rights salute), while Silver medalist Peter Norman wore a badge supporting the statement. All three faced controversy and criticism for the move afterwards. Salute is directed by Matt Norman, Peter's nephew, and looks at both the statement itself and its aftermath. We got our hands on the teaser trailer for Dredd via Machinma . Is this enough to get your excited about the film? Dredd takes place on a fictional Earth created as a result of the Atomic Wars.
