Juno Temple Joins Maleficent

Juno Temple will play one of the three pixies taking care of Aurora in the live-action Disney fantasy film that re-imagines the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale. Robert Stromberg is directing. Elle Fanning already is on board as Aurora and Sharlto Copley is Stefan, the half-human and half-fairy bastard son of the human king. Also in the cast are I melda Staunton (Vera Drake), Miranda Richardson (Harry Potter), Kenneth Cranham (Made in Dagenham), Sam Riley (Brighton Rock) and Lesley Manville (Another Year). Ender's Game Film Nothing Like The Book

If you're wondering how the big-screen rendition of Orson Scott Card's acclaimed sci-fi novel Ender's Game is shaping up, you're in luck—the author just got back from the set and has written all about it. What stood out to him the most? Apparently the fact that he didn't actually recognize a lot of it. Card recorded a small cameo in the movie and watched a bit of the filming while he was on set. He says it's definitely director Gavin Hood's vision of the material, and he warns that some hardcore fans of the book might be a bit shell-shocked. "The scene [I watched] does not come from the book—very few of the scenes in this movie do—so it was amusing when others asked me how it felt to have my book brought to life. My book was already alive in the mind of every reader," he wrote. "This is writer-director Gavin Hood's movie, so they were his words, and it was his scene." But don't worry, folks. Changes or not, Card said he rea
