Alternative Poster For MARLEY

Check out this alternative MARLEY poster, designed by Swedish artist Viktor Hertz! Here is insight from Viktor about the design: The idea behind the pictogram mosaic portrait, is to somehow show the complexity and all the different things that made the man behind the music. For example, I inserted 11 baby pictograms in the mosaic, depicting his 11 (official) kids, and also a football player and a gun chamber (depicting the two gun wounds he got). There is also a van (which I saw in the movie trailer, actually) hidden somewhere. Magnolia Pictures will release MARLEY in theaters and on VOD April 20, 2012. Bob Marley's universal appeal, impact on music history and role as a social and political prophet is both unique and unparalleled. MARLEY is the definitive life story of the musician, revolutionary, and legend, from his early days to his rise to international superstardom. Made with the support of the Marley family, the film features rare footage, incredible performances and

The Woman In Black To Get A Sequel

With Hammer's The Woman In Black taking enough at the box office to buy herself a Milan season's worth of widow's weeds, it's no surprise that the iconic British studio has set to work on a sequel to the Edwardian scarefest. The Woman In Black did astonishing business in cinemas, taking $112m worldwide to date and exceeded expectations overseas too. It's the kind of rapturous reception Hammer will be hoping The Woman In Black: Angels Of Death will able to rekindle. The setting, Eel Marsh House, will remain, but the time period shifts forward 40 years - presumably into the war years, or just after - with a couple moving into the haunted house and encountering all kinds of spectral goings-on. Fooooools! *Insert evil chuckle here* A new writer - Jon Croker - has penned the script and Hammer Films CEO Simon Oakes is promising a follow-up that'll pack in all the scares of The Woman In Black: "It's a wonderful new tale every bit as atmospheric and t

Ashton Kutcher To Play Steve Jobs

Given that this story appeared on April 1, you might be forgiven for thinking that it was all a big joke, but it’s true: Ashton Kutcher is now attached to play Steve Jobs in Joshua Michael Stern’s Jobs. It’s actually not as much of a stretch as you might imagine, especially since Kutcher as he is now bears a resemblance to a younger Jobs. And while he may not exactly boast the most range among his acting generation, he has pulled off a few decent performances, including Spread and his turn in Emilio Estevez’ Bobby. But this will be a new challenge entirely, since Matt Whiteley’s script tracks Jobs from his early bohemian days through his early struggles and eventual triumph at Apple. We hope he’s already practicing his “Just one more thing…” line. Jobs’ life is certainly good fodder for a movie – a driven, ambitious, radical thinker, Jobs was rightly praised for the vision he brought to not only technology but also art, helping the shepherd Pixar’s difficult birth. But he gai

ATM Movie Review

ATM Movie Review By:RAMA Would RAMA dare go to this ATM? Alice Eve, Josh Peck and Brian Geraghty stuck in a big ass ATM room in the middle of a dark parking lot and there’s a creepy murderous man outside toying with them. ATM is one of those movies where everything is just set in one place and it’s brought to you by the screenwriter of Buried which I thought was a suspenseful thriller, much thanks to Ryan Reynolds’ powerhouse performance, ATM on the other hand, thought has its moments, is unbearable and a poor excuse for horror/thriller. This is a movie that could easily end in the first 15 minutes but because it makes itself seem like it’s well-structured, when it’s actually not, the result drags on and on and on… On a late night visit to an ATM, three co-workers end up in a desperate fight for their lives when they become trapped by an unknown man. You know when you watch a horror or a thriller, sometimes you’d try to think of ways that the characters could outrun t
